but it sounds like it's going to be ok and your parents seem very calm and cool about it. To me the fact that your dad mentioned that your mum found your website as you were casually in the kitchen together shows it. You didn't have them call you in to have a word or a chat.

Obviously the chat is now unavoidable and from what you have said here I too think once you have told them about security measures and stuff they will be ok, if not fine about the escorting thing.

If my mum found out, I would have come home to be confronted with the: "I think you have some explaining to do, young lady!" speech  and remember I'm over 40 now.

He did seem quite angry at the time, but I think that's because mum had been upset the previous night (while I had been out on the town) that said they seem to have relaxed now.

Ah,  I didn't quiet get that from what you said, sorry.

I suppose they would be upset and maybe hurt that you haven't told them about it, but hopefully they will understand that it's not exactly the type of job you tell your parents about, regardless if you are straight or gay.

It's good they want to talk , I'm assuming they are about my age, so once they get over the shock and you can tell them that you are looking after yourself and keeping safe, I'm hoping they will come around.

Maybe let them read some stuff on this site? So they can understand the industry you are involved in.

While I don't agree with there reasoning, I love them very much and don't want to hurt them. Which is more important than anything else...

If the after effects are their main worry (and I agree with them as it is a worry for most of us, especially if you want a 'serious 'career after) how about going faceless and rebranding as a comprimise?

If you do go down this route, you know we're here for any support we can offer. I remember you were looking for your own place which might be harder to save up for if you do give this up. So I reckon your decision is tearing you up inside.
You're young and gorgeous so not thinking about future consequences, but your parents do have a point. I'm old enough to be your mum (shut it), so I can see it from their prospective, even if you can't. If you do want to continue, discuss Trafford's suggestion to them, see what they say.

Oh my gosh  :'( Benny, nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo! If you dont agree with their reasoning, why should you stop? Isnt it equally important to be true to yourself? You can love them AND be true to yourself.

If you feel the need to take a break, by all means do so. But if you stop let it be cause you wanted to, not cause your parents think you'll end up perverted and resentful down the line.

I think that would be pretty selfish of me Joey. Escorting is not the most important thing in my life, and not hurting my parents (who have provided me with so much, and put up with my shit for twenty five years) rates far, far higher.

I understand your parents concerns and especially because you are young and will look to a different career somewhere along the line.

Respect to you for making the decision to stop because of the love you have for them, I hope they know what a loving son they are blessed with. Just one small but - there's always a but: make sure you won't resent them in the future for making you stop.
