I was always told by beautician that it is best to get waxed mid cycle and not 'when just over' as the skin is more tender just after period. Those more in the know could maybe confirm this.
I'm going to be testing out this theory tomorrow so will let you know! Hopefully my high pain threshold will help out! LOL!
You could also try *gasp* leaving it alone
. Mine gets a bit of a tidy with the nail scissors when I remember (and I do shave the very underneath bit when I'm working just because it's easier to wash) and that's it - nobody's ever run off screaming yet. I don't even do my legs unless I've got bookings, and I can't remember the last time I did under my arms. It saves a fortune, apart from anything else.
Personally I couldn't go back to anything more than a landing strip these days! It's only been 4.5 years since my SO took the razor to me as I used to just trim and do my bikini line, I've not looked back since! I prefer girls who have very little hair down there as well so appreciate the man's view (so to speak) these days

At the moment there are really good deals to be had on groupon for multiple sessions of IPL hair removal, which I'm currently having. Two sessions in (out of six), it's already working really well, and it's completely permanent. And it hurts significantly less than waxing (which has to be done over and over again! And ingrowns!!)
I'll have to look into this! Thank you!

I did have an epilator but it always hurt more than waxing for me and now I've banished it because it 'bit me'.
I go for waxes and I've bought a home hot wax kit for getting regrowth when the hairs are too short for them to do it, you can still usually get some if you did it at home, I also have nair as well although I'm not ultra keen on that cos it can be uncomfortable on sensitive areas but I'm going to start using it on my legs and armpits and phase my razor out entirely they're real expensive and they make me itch when hair grows back.
The best wax company I've used are the Brazilian wax company they're based in Manchester, they are fast (crucial to minimising pain) professional and it it barely hurts, take an ibuprofen prior but you don't really need it, there's even a tv you can watch to distract you. It's ?20 for a Brazilian which is a lot but t's worth it I've tried cheaper places and they can really put you off waxing all together I'm pretty sure some aren't even qualified, and if they bring out those cold strips you can buy in boots run for the hills because that will hurt! Inspect your wax after to make sure they didn't leave patches and if you're not having more than a bikini they shouldn't be getting you to stay pants on t's a sign they're gonna miss bits. Get a professional wax before you try it yourself, there's home tutorials on youtube, it's pretty hard to get all of it yourself and the most important part is stretching the skin that really minimises pain, some aloe vera gel on after helps too!
As for a good hair removal cream Nair is on offer at boots atm buy one get one half price and they're doing a 50% extra in the tube thing too!
Thanks for the advice, I tried epilators when I was a teen when they became the new 'in' thing, wasn't overly impressed but I'm sure they've improved

I'm paying ?20 for a hot wax at the spa based in my gym, they did say to keep my pants on and to just move them to one side so I'll make sure to do a good inspection before I leave to make sure they've not missed any!

I have been shaving for ages as i like it when clients go down, . unfortunatly the effect of ingrowing hairs in the past 4 months or so and bad appearance down there has given me no choice but to grow a short style there i will get a complete wax in a few months! just feel like a plucked chicken when they have removed it all by wax!!!!

I've totally stuck with shaving but after being told it looked awful recently (by the SO not a punter! LOL!) I thought I'd go for a wax. I could have just bought a different type of razor as I think the one I was using was the cause of the rash, but thought I'd put the money to use elsewhere!
Fingers crossed my stubble is long enough tomorrow and it's not too painful! Thank you everyone for the wise words, much appreciateD!
