I used to shave but have been waxing every month for 2 years, and now I'm working go every 3 weeks. I don't find I get stubble the same as when I shaved, as the hair grows back much softer and sparser, when you shave you cut the end of the hair rather than pulling it all out.
The first time you get a wax when you're used to shaving will hurt, because when you shave it causes the hair to grow in different directions, the second time is much more pleasant as long as you don't shave inbetween! Take painkillers anyway.

It is expensive where I go but they use hot wax without strips which is so much gentler on the skin than using cotton strips. I was worried clients might be a bit turned off by any regrowth but no-one has ever said anything, well not to my face anyway.
