I hate the whole shaving ordeal, and think back with fondness of the days when it was normal to be au natural, and I'd like to cause the person/people that somehow made it a rule that we all have to be shaved and smooth down there serious harm  ;D
I'm being a hypocrite though lol,coz I shave mine too.
I hate it,it takes up so much time, money and effort, and I hate the spots/rashes,ingrowing hairs etc etc with a vengeance!!!  >:(
I've tried to go back to trimmed, but I just can't get used to it anymore and end up going bald (apart from my landing strip  ;)) within a day..
Just wished I'd never started shaving/veeting/waxing in the 1st place..  :(
I don't have to be perfect, but I'm perfect at being me!

I figured out how to keep from getting bumps: I use a very new razor on my pubes and I apply ointment after shaving.

For the new razor thing: I use two razor handles. Both are Gillette but they're different colours (the heads are all interchangeable.) The pink one is for my pubes and the blue one is for my legs. Every week I put a new head on the pubes razor handle and then I move the head from that one to my pubes handle. That way, my pubes get a brand new razor weekly but each head lasts two weeks. It's not as critical to have a brand-new razor on my legs but it's vital on my pubes.

For the ointment I use something from the first aid section of the druggist - it's a basic antibacterial/antiseptic ointment for scratches or cuts. It has no odor and feels like any other cream. I reaply after my nightly shower, as well.

I can get a really close, tidy shave and I don't get redness or bumps.

I've moved this here since I'm pretty sure the OP of the other thread wasn't asking for shaving tips, and as plenty of people on this one are, it's well worth a bump :).

I thought having a bush would put clients off but do you know how many have remarked that they love seeing a woman with a bush these days.

Might just go for the bush. Maybe then clients will stop going down on me with their awful oral skills, but then again, how else would I kill 20 minutes during one of those "myeeehhh" bookings?? :-P

I have a full bush and it does not deter them, regardless of how long it is.  ::)

They just proceed to bitch about it on their mysoginistic forums.  :FF

No hair off my snatch...  ;D

So at the grand age of 36 I decided that enough is enough and I'm going to try with waxing!!!!  ::) I made an appointment on Saturday for this afternoon and hoped that there would be enough hair to pull out, so to speak! Sadly I'm nowhere close! So I'm stuck with the stubble look  :( I've made a new appointment for Thursday and hoping I'll have acquired the necessary growth to get it done at last!

I figured that seeing as it's that time of the month and therefore I'm not working it would be an ideal time, despite reading you are more sensitive down below at this time!

My question is how do you girls who do wax get around this? Do I really need to take a week off every month (give or take) to allow for regrowth or should I just stick to the old razor? Gutted that I'm out of action as it is without the itchy horrid regrowth I'm putting up with!

Any tips very welcome!  :FF

As nervous as I am I may give waxing a try. It's simply too much work to shave every single day  ::)

I think its been nearly 3 maybe 4 years since I shaved now. I leave most of my pubic hair I get a high leg wax I think they call it, a little more off then a bikini but not a little line.
I get it done once a month, after about 6 months of waxing I had little hair re-growth so if you carry on with it you will get thinner softer less noticeable hair between waxes and you won't have to have them done as often, I was getting them done every 2 weeks to start, my hair grows back quickly!

I have waxed for years.  I do it myself (if someone else can bend me into a pretzel I can also do it myself).  The benefits to me are that it lasts long and the regrowth (I have thick, dark hair) really is less and softer.  I use the microwavable kind without the cloth strips.  I could never get the cloth strips to work.

When I don't have time to wax and must shave there is a product called Coochy that is made specifically for "rash free" shaving.  You use it as both a shaving cream and then rub a little in after you are done to prevent rash.  I haven't had "bikini line bumps" since I started using it.

I had a friend get laser treatment but she said they were so expensive and they had to do some areas several times to stop the hair from growing back.  Too much $ for me.

I did laser treatment and I would say it's worth every penny of it. It's expensive but if you're anything like me with thick, coarse leg hair that grew back by the evening of the morning I shaved, it's the best investment I made for myself. I signed up for 7 sessions and was extremely pleased with the results. Now, they're virtually fuzz free except for certain spots and I go in every 3/4 months for a maintenance session. The minimal hair that grows back is softer and finer. Best decision ever.

I recommend the Gillette Venus & Olay disposable razors, I used to always use mens blades but I bought these for travelling earlier this year and they're fab! They're quite expensive but they give a really close shave (anywhere) you don't need shaving gel and I haven't had one single nick/cut :-)

I shave like ALL the time! I shower usually at least a few times every day, usually all over, as soon as I feel a fine patch of bristly hairs anywhere on my body - instantly shave it off with just the soap lather.
I'd love laser hair removal but its just not permanent. I'd so love a completely hairless body from my eyes down with only my eyebrows and scalp hair to style.

Waxing is pointless, need some hair for the sticky to grab.

I shave too (every day that I'm working that is). I tried waxing but it made my lady parts and underarms bleed and was sore as hell!! Hurt when I had a wee and couldn't wear deodorant; however, I've got really sensitive skin.

Plus I think the bitch that done it was a bit pre-menstrual as she was dead rough and quick. Plus, I should have known better by the moustache she was sporting that she was crap at what she did!!  ::)

I really want to start waxing just for the ease of it, but for now I'm stuck with shaving because I'm broke.  I don't tend to get rashes when I'm only doing it once a week but I always have to leave at least 3 days, preferably 4, between shaves otherwise it does get sore and rashy.  At the moment I don't intend to see clients very often, no more than once or twice a fortnight, but it would be great to be able to schedule when I want and not have to think about my shaving routine too much.

I read somewhere once that if you persist with shaving down there every day, the skin 'toughens up'. But it just hurts so much on day 1-2 I'm not sure I can hack it  ??? if there is truth in this then I'll persist with it but I don't want to destroy my foof in the meantime.

Has anyone got any tips to make shaving less irritating so I can do it more often? I use a sharp blade and i moisturise etc, I can't do the shaving in the direction of the hair thing though, it just doesn't work at all.  I have greek heritage and as a result my pubes are rather thick, dark and unruly if left to their own devices  ;D

Before I decided I preferred to be fully shaven I used to use a men's 'wahl' head shaver, it trims it very short but not completely bald, and leaves no shaving rash either :-)

Can you recommend any good hair removal cream? I bought something for just 3 euro and it did nothing. Thats way best over there cause its so delicate that a shaver might harm it.
He came in the morning and woke me up with killer instinct. Wish I could stop this now.

That's what I used to do. These days all I use is shampoo. I usually shave in the bath after relaxing in the water. I use oil afterwards it helps reduce shaver pimples especially around both my lower lady areas.
