Bumping into Punters

Sorry if this is covered elsewhere, couldn't find a thread concerning this.

Well today I saw a lovely polite young guy (first timer) and then tonight on a rare night out sitting by the pub window having a drink with a mate, who should walk through the door.......but lovely guy!

So I avert my gaze praying he won't see me, as how the heck would I explain it to my mate (she doesn't know what I do and I haven't been in Glasgow long enough to know guys, especially YOUNG guys!!!

I don't beleive he saw me, but has anyone else had experiences like this?  Its not happened to me before ever.

I'm lucky in the fact that I dont remember a face the minute it walks out the door.  After all it aint the face i've spent most of the booking looking at.

Sorry it aint any help, but you really just got to play it as you see it at the time.  Nothing else for it apart from making excuses to friend and leaving where you are.
Beauty is nothing to do with having a pretty face.
It is about having a pretty mind, a pretty heart,
And most importantly a beautiful soul.

The only time I've been spoken to by  a client in public.  Well I guess I'll just say I approached him.

Was out shopping with my kid sister when we decided we were hungry.  As she's 15 she wanted to go to a fast food chain (she lives in the middle of nowhere and there isn't one of these particular chains in almost 100 miles)... it was shortly after I had left the agency I had worked for and was enjoying what money I had managed to save, so we go tottering up to the counter and place our order.  I hadn't recognised him until he blurted out, "I noticed your profile isn't on the agency site any more.  Can I have your number?"

Since my sister was right next to me I pretended I didn't know what he was talking about.  If she wasn't I'd probably make up some bull to make a complaint against him.  Idiot!  Needless to say - I've never been back to any of that particular chain.

One of my fav clients took me out on the motor bike and we had a coffee and chat outside when another client walked past, he looked at me and went "oh yes"! smiled and walked away..... I never approach them its the discretion thing...

I'm like LadyLust, I can be fully ahem 'engaged' with a client for a good 2/3 hours and then by the time |I'm driving home I can't for the life of me bring their face to mind .
There is no way in a million years I would be the one to recognise them in public - unless they were unusual looking in some way.

I have knocked on the door of Hotel rooms to visit known clients and when they open the door, I have NO IDEA if it is the correct person!
This will be my undoing one day. I would wite a description in my diary but; bald, 5'8"ish, few arm Tatts woudn't get me very far..and " would you mind if I take your photo sir, just for my own personal use" would probably illicit the same response I give when asked the same  :-\

I don't think this is a prossie-blocking thing-I'm just like that anyway.

I mentioned this in the other thread that, only accepting bookings over 10-15 miles away from my home probably avoids this and I don't have an incall location either.

I doubt that the client is any happier to bump into us either and would probably try to hide in embarrassment.

Its true to say that most clients faces merge into a massive blur but some (like regs) you remember and this guy Id seen only that morning! my friend and I stayed in the pub and it was big and busy enough that there was no problem

I had a client who worked at the same company as me... Found out when the booking was finished and I think I bumped into him twice orso and one time he had to come to my dept.

We both agreed to discretion and I think this was more odd for him than for me.

I had a repeat client book on a Friday.
(R in front of his name on my phone told me I'd seen him before)
We sit down and start chatting:
"So, when did you last come to see me?"
- "Monday"

This made me laugh  ;D

Its such a shame as all the guys seem to think they are something special.  I'm so pleased about this thread as
a] I thought it was just me that forgot nearly everyones faces, in fact on the way home sometimes I can't remember who I have seen THAT day!  It's like 'um, who was 2 o'clock?' I mutter to myself and
b] being stopped outside and in a supermarket and getting so flustered I can't speak!

I've even had in the shopping centre locally (which is massive) 6 texts from clients and guys that must have been looking at my profile saying ' I can see you'  or 'looking good babes'  or did you spend much in Boots
Argghhhhhh WTF, its sooooo creepy >:(

I've only run into clients a couple of times and in one case I saw him before he saw me so I was able to avoid him.

The other time I was crossing a busy street in London when I was on tour. Whilst waiting for the lights to change, I noticed the guy standing next to me looked vaguely familiar. He thought the same and said he was sorry, he knew me from somewhere but couldn't remember where.  Then the light dawned and I laughed and he remembered and asked me if I had time to see him. We ended up dashing to my hotel for a quickie before my next booking.

Never happened to me but I do remember working a shift at my local Harvester when I was a student and serving my gynie who had just given me a smear that afternoon.....that was pretty mortifying......

Ran into a client at a gig a few days ago, he came up to me and said hi, and that he was looking forward to his next appointment. I was with friends so it wasn't exactly discreet, but everyone knows what I do so it wasn't a problem at all, and he probably knew that, if he follows me on Twitter or has read any of my blogs or anything he'll have known I'm 'out' to friends and family and I don't mind people coming and saying hi if they see me out. I like it, as long as they don't expect me to socialise with them loads or anything :)

The other week I was in the supermarket with my daughter, and someone, a client, walked past me and said "Hi Jenny" rather fleetingly.
I wouldn't have minded if I was on my own but since I had my daughter with me they should know it's not ok at all.

Luckily she (my daughter) didn't hear or didn't notice.
