At one time I could have sent you a photo of a room keycard from virtually every hotel chain in the land without even leaving my flat. I had hundreds of the bloody things in my work suitcase :D

OOhhhh, that's something to consider. I hoped that it might be another line of security.

If the client had malicious intent I don't feel that they would choose a hotel as the venue....
yeah but they can still flip or whatever if they r psychopaths

Ohh, what a good idea, I've never thought of the room card picture, definitely gonna do that in future!

Yeah, as many ladies have said, I also find that I feel secure doing outcalls in hotels. If the client had malicious intent I don't feel that they would choose a hotel as the venue....my only caveat being that I'm not mad keen on visiting too late as it might be "party time" and I like to have things within my own control.

New Year's Eve 2011/2012 a man imprisoned an Escort in a busy Newcastle city centre hotel,  assaulted and raped her many times. He had booked the room, then booked her through an agency. If you Google the right words you can find an article describing what he did. Horrendous.

This happened just after my incall robbery at knifepoint.

But are hotel rooms safer  ,I used to think more so than  a private residence.
You can't risk assess either as the intent of the client is the biggest risk of all .
If I were to tour I still run a risk of harm with any stranger

every hotel should have an alarm button, i dont understand why they dont. personally, i had a situation when a dissatisfied client locked me in my room (fortunately alone). i had to call police because nobody was on deck anymore

I agree I have had issues in hotel rooms when not working, as well as working being harassed by teenagers, also room faults. The ones with internal phones weren't answering, those without I had to traipse a long way to reception..

Yeah, its quite ridiculous, if u think about it. I mean its 2024. Just a simple alarm button (just like the fire one)
