If you're on twitter you may have seen that we're auctioning an amazing, double bed sized, hand-made patchwork quilt to raise money to help continue National Ugly Mugs.

It's now just over three years since we launched and despite facing constant funding difficulties we're still going strong.  On a weekly basis sex workers tell us that they've avoided someone as a result of our alerts or cancelled a booking because they've had a match on our phone number checker.  We've also supported a number of sex workers in reporting to the police and resulted in at least 23 violent perpetrators being caught and convicted in court.

We always want NUM to remain a FREE service for sex workers but it's so difficult to get enough funding to grow to meet the demand for our work.  If ever sex worker signed up directly to NUM donated just ?4 per month that would be enough to keep us going.
