Pole bruises how do I hide them
« on: 15 July 2015, 12:55:55 am »
Don't know if we have any fellow pole dancers. I do it part time at the moment but I'm going to have a pole fitted in my home soon. I get some bruises in an hour, managable. The more I do it, the more bruises I get obviousley, they are unavoidable just what happens when you grip the pole.

Any tips for hiding / diminishing / reducing the amount of bruises from pole. I'd let it be if it wasn't for having to look good naked lol. Might stick to sexy pole rather than fitness pole. Sexy pole is more floor work and light tricks.

I do aerial hoop so while not as bad as the pole, it leaves me with bruises quite frequently, especially on the back of my legs, inner thighs and my arms. I find that massaging and rubbing the bruised area helps heal it faster though it hurts to do so! Clients don't seem to mind but then again pole bruises are way worse than the hoop's. If they get bad, i might consider concealer.

Have you tried arnica cream? It won't hide then but seems to speed up how fast they fade pretty sharpish. Expensive but 100 times better than ice leaves skin all soft too. Vitimin suppliments if your not too healthy supposedly help bruising too.
High stockings or holdups can hide the leg bruises,  other than lingerie for hiding some, a mineral powder or bronzer sometimes lightly dusted on after light moisturiser can distract a little. I wear heavy fake tan and bronzer to make the bruises less obvious but it doesn't hide them as such.

(I'm not a pole dancer, but I wrestle, box and fight so frequent bruising on my arms, wrists, back, torso and legs. I try to hide at work. Many times I tried to explain to shocked clients I'm not being beaten. Not sure you can hide bruises 100% without using full camouflage makeup which works but its hard, time consuming and ruins your skin.)

I suppose it'll be much more obvious with a pole in my room that i'm not being beaten lol. Then again, pole dancers make it look so easy you wouldn't think we're being battered and bruised and using all our stregnth on the pole. Thought about conealer but then wondered if it'd leave orange marks all over my sheets.

I have pole danced for a couple of decades and find that arnica gel (SBC on QVC) is cheap and more effective than the cream, especially when taking the 30c strength internally.  :-*

Enjoy your fabulous pole!  ;D
