Title: Plus size lingerie and work wear
Post by: MISS RUBY on 16 April 2012, 12:13:52 pm
I have been looking for some lacy sexy white lingerie on ebay , but the search results show maternity wear!!! oh i must be pregnant then. NO !!! im just a 34GG size and apart from the limit on offer at la sensa, ann summers or bravissimo the range is something like a big bullet holder for the army, or a bird nest suitable for the garden     I get tired of the limited range for this size as i like to wear sonething new for my clients and not the same old black and red...anyone else experience this ?

I thought La Senza was shut? The company went bust ages ago, but I don't know if somewhere else bought them and kept some of the shops on or not - one of my standby plain black work bras that I always reach for in a hurry was from there and when I found out it was closing they had the sets of it with pants in a few different colours for ?18 so I bought one of each :D. I used to wear more expensive stuff for bookings (and still do when I think it'll be appreciated) but they fit great, admittedly with a little overspill - I'm a 34G or a 32GG depending on the shop/make.

If you've got money to throw about, Buttress and Snatch will custom-build them up to a J cup. Otherwise I concur on Simply Be or Simply Yours or whichever it is. If you're quite handy with a sewing machine you can buy ones with the body strap far too big and take them in at the back (a 40DD has the same size cups as a 34FF) which isn't quite good enough for general wear, but they'll do for work or photos.

Has anybody investigated the Kelly Brook ones at New Look? A lady I know told me that they go up to an F, so not enough for me but they did look pretty when I walked past them in the shop.

I'm a 30G and have recently been getting a lot of beautiful Gossard lingerie sets from the House of Fraser outlet on ebay - all different styles, colours and designs. The House of Fraser stores might have some as well.

I am having difficulty finding decent plus size lingerie (corsets, basques) that would fit me, I am 5 ft 5 and a 24/26 top, 20/22 bottom and a 36M bust (can wear a 40K). Most of the sites that have plus size seem to be more for girls that are large but no bigger than a G-H cup in the bust. Does anyone know of any sites that would be suitable.

I do not know if the other BBW's feel the same way but it is seriously narking me that the plus size lingerie that is out there for us tends to look tacky and i am sorry but I am not the type of lady that likes her jelly belly on display, hence why i wear basques and waspies.

The only place i can find semi decent hold ups is Ann Summers, that is if the elastic does not go after it comes out of the packet or you find a thread dangling and the next thing the whole lace top unravels.  And the lingerie is disgusting, i usually find it starts coming apart after a few wears, where are the good old days of ann summers where outfits actually lasted, I have a few of their old dresses that are still in fabulous condition but the newer things do not even last a few months.

Then when you order of Ebay it is even worse and ordering stuff off Amazon is always touch and go.

Any suggestions?

A trip to America.

Oh tell me about it, in my previous life, I had a work trip to NY once every two months and on my day off I would go shopping. Ordering from the States is no good either I have tried it.

Ok.. Levante soft lustre 30 denier holdups in largest size from stockingsdirect are my lifeline! Not cheap but they really do last and stay up! Only thing is they seem to sell out too quick and are out of stock quite often.. So when they get them in i bulk buy. Totally agree there is a huge gap in the market for sexy sensual plus size lingerie!  Its all designed to show off the perfect figure, rather than enhance and flatter an imperfect one!  I would pay loads for well made non tacky lingerie!

I'm the same, I find it really hard to find decent lingerie.

I would love to be able to wear some nice babydolls or corsets, but they always seem to say they are for like a DD bust, (I'm a size 24 and definitely not a DD or ;D), so I'm not going to spend money buying something that won't fit in the one place I need it to fit.

If you're not near London this may be silly but
Rigby and Peller have 3 branches and custom
make for every size.
Not cheap I imagine.

Vollers corsets are proper good and last several
lifetimes and do custom and I have a couple of those.
The can also adapt their existing designs for huge boooobies.

I get measured at John Lewis and they very
accurate and suggest suitable fits.

For decent lingerie on a budget go to debenhams they have a plus size range but not all frills and bells but decent enough for work.  Corsets i get from Corset Boulevard, never felt the need to have one custom made.

I just want sexier nicer things that you see advertised but they never make things for bigger women.

ive put on some weight now size 14  and been looking for wrap round dresses in charity shops as they are flattering and curvy they also have big sizes but its a one off usually lol! they are so easy to whip off  quickly for clients
I dare not buy online as I prefer to try on to be on the safe side.
Ann summers is quite good and la senza used to have loads of great lingerie shame I cant get their stuff anymore.

For wrap around dresses look at boo hoo there sizes are generous and they are cheap plus it's dead easy to send back stuff for free nothing is rarely more than ?20

If your a 14 look for the dress call Slinky Karen just put it in the search box  it's ?15 and it's brilliant for working dead easy to slip off  I must have around 10 of them in black ( just in case ) and also a few  in red, grey ,mocha , coffee, plum and indigo

I'd love to design the perfect LBD that you click your fingers and it falls off. - none of this over the head crap or zips at the back / front

If I find a dress I like I bulk buy it in as many colours as I can and I buy a few a size bigger for those fat months  ;D

lol,  I like simple plain black dresses, but it's so bloody hard to get a plain black dress that's sexy but easy to get off / on
Most LBD have something on it that ruins them I saw a perfect one in Harvey Nicks a few weeks ago wasn't cheap either but it was gorgeous and perfect style for work  but it had a massive flower on it FFS

So now if I see a dress that I like for work I bulk buy it 😜 bit like bulk buying condoms
I love boo hoo & pretty little things and missguided

If you have a bit of a belly the best suspender belts are those deep lace ones that are wide

The ones with the built in knickers are perfect you can just cut out the knickers and it's a brilliant suspender built  They last forever and the straps are detachable so you can use them again & again

Even though my stomach is pretty flat ( most of the time  :D)  these are my preferred suspender belts the little scraps of silk ones just don't suit me

Freemans clubook ( so 80s clubooks)  , do a really good selection of lingerie, baby dolls , also there home brand Lascana is pretty good as well for pretty bras / pants,   free return as well so if you don't like it send it back

Well not sure what size we're talking about but last week I got amazing stuff simply from Debenhams. Suspender belts and lingerie and all. I tried house of Fraser too but they had only stuff for flat chicks lol.

Also lovehoney for suspender belts. Though careful, I ordered one that was queen size and OMFG I could wrap myself and my flatmate in it!!!!!!!

Thanks Paris, I also get sussies off Ebay, the old fashioned ones which are perfect and also got a few girdles, you usually pay about ?18 for a pack of two and they can last you a while.

It is just finding nice wraps etc that are so blooming difficult without having to pay over ?100 for one.  :FF

Unbelievabley I found the perfect black slinky works dress on  my local market for EIGHT POUNDS  ;D ;D

It has cap sleeves, is fitted but in stretch matte material, goes to below my knees for that hobble dress look and has a very easy good quality zip..im off to get one in each colour next week. It also make me look a nice hour glass shape and I DO NOT look hour glass easily

I think it may have been taken over by another company bcos it went into liquidation. Yeah its vaguely the same style but maybe they've got different designers or manufacturers, haven't been in a year or two

I have the same problem. I am a suze 16/18 but most stuff I order online doesn't go anywhere near to fitting.  Or it looks good on the screen but when it comes it feels stiff and awful fabric.

Does anyine else have problems with the plastic suspender clips? I hate them and struggle so much to do them up I've all but given up wearing suspenders ow. If someone asks for stockings and suspenders they now get hold ups! haha no one has complained so far!  ;)

I buy the old fashioned sussies they have metal clasps and also are not the thinned straps but the wide ones which is perfect for us fuller figured ladies.

I know this feeling. I'm a 24-26 & currently have one babydoll set from YoursClothing. I did have another one from SimplyBe, but I accidentally put it in the wrong laundry load & the delicate baby pink material ended up a dirty purple-grey.  :'( I tried to get it back to the original colour by soaking it in a special dye run removal chemical, but it didn't work. So I tried to dye it all black & it went a horrible rusty red-brown colour!  :FF I'm gonna have another go at dying it when I can find a nylon black dye, coz it's my favourite set.
YoursClothing have a pretty good plus size range online (for some stupid reason, they stopped stocking plus size lingerie in their stores) & the staff at my local store said if you order & don't like it when it arrives, you can return it to your local store for a refund or to arrange a different size.
SimplyBe also have a pretty good range, though some of the bits they have are a bit naff quality-wise & some sizes aren't true-to-size.

Hello!

I'm a BBW and in need of some lovely underwear and outfits but having problems finding the styles in like - I adore agent provocateur but I'm too big and they are so expensive!

I had a look online but a lot of the stuff looked cheap and nasty  :o

Where do other BBW buy their work underwear/outfits from?

Sorry I know I'm in the wrong thread lol, as I'm the opposite, I have no tits to speak off, my ass is fast disappearing (I'm stressed and when I am I loose weight, and end up looking like a skeleton  :(), it's just as hard to get lingerie for flat-chested, skinny women..
Why can't they have somewhere realistic, for every body-type, I've ordered stuff from the internet, which obviously looks great on the
models, but since I'm as flat as a pancake at the mo, it's hard to make anything make me look sexy!!  :(

I'm guessing you're pretty tall, as well? A lot of Asian lingerie brands (specifically Chinese, Japanese, Korean etc) are aimed at small-breasted, petite women, but that option kinda goes to hell if you're above 1.65cm.

I have an absolute nightmare buying workwear! Size 10-12 on top and a 14 on the bottom, absolutely zero tits but a huge arse! It's so hard trying to find clothes that flatter my chest, stomach and bum  :FF

I'm guessing you're pretty tall, as well? A lot of Asian lingerie brands (specifically Chinese, Japanese, Korean etc) are aimed at small-breasted, petite women, but that option kinda goes to hell if you're above 1.65cm.

YES!! That's exactly what I was talking about, the cheap Chinese etc. lingerie sites, I ordered quite a few things from them coz it's soo
cheap, and it's no great loss if it ends up not fitting..
some of the stuff fits me, but yes I am tall, 1.73cm (nearly 5ft9"), so that's where it goes to hell indeed.
They are tiny, in every way, where as I'm skinny, but too tall for their sizes, you hit the nail on the head!

Hello Larger Ladies!

I have recently been upset on how little things I can buy with my curvy figure but I recently ordered some new clothes that I found on internet!
I can believe I am gonna look so good, cause I never had sexy clothes really because of my size. As soon as I will get ones I will make new shoot and post it.

Can you share what you, bigger ladies wear, lets make topic about bigger clothes for work.

This is my costums that I bought, I ordered the nurse one and latex, and also I am thinking about the catsuit from Ebay as it goes so far as xxxxl.

I am so happy!

[Links removed - please do not post these on the forum. Just naming the shop is fine.]

I got a load of dresses from Amazon. They were long and stretchy and I took them to local dry cleaners to be shortened.

Just adding to this thread

For anyone looking for deep suspender belts to go with there stockings  if you google PAOLA - Suspenders - black they are fantastic  ive had one for at least a year and it's still in perfect condition   I couldn't find it anywhere again and then I was googling stuff and I managed to find it so I bought 5 of them 😄

Very pretty deep lace suspender  belt with  built in thong which you can just cut out  has little dimante diamonds on it in a pattern and the clips or removable for washing   Much prettier than the picture shows

Would definatly recommend as a suspender belt that is good for anyone that hates those small stringy type ones  its made by  Lascana but you can't but it from there website for some strange reason

You can get it from this site here zalando.co.uk

Basically, I want some sexy dresses that look slutty, but I cant find any! If I buy something that fits my boobs, the I get a big baggy bit around my waist. If I get something that fits my waist, my boobs jump out.

Can any of the bigger girls please advise on how to dress sexy? I really need to find things that make me look sexy and slutty

thanks

What size are you Rainbow? I'm a 16 and I've had some great stuff from Asos Curve. Have a search on there for "Skater dress with keyhole" for example. I have found their sizing quite generous. I have a go-to jersey dress from there which really emphasises my cleavage, but I can yank it up to modestly walk through hotel reception etc  ;D

I'm a size 16 on the bottom half and an 18/20 top half (depending on what I wear)  I'll have a look on there now :)  thanks

I love boohoo the dress that is called Karen / slinky is perfect for me for work. I bought about 10 of them in black and I used the red one for my pictures shoot last summer and it looked fantastic
Easy to get on / off washable doesn't crease up or anything

I like Asos and Boohoo as well, although never ordered from either site.

Being a 24/26 I worry that their dresses that would look good for work would be the type that show off every lump and bump.

Yep, I look at all those skin tight dresses and all those see-through ones in Anne Summers and I think, ' if they come in big sizes, then big women must wear them, therefore it has to look good!' So, I go and try one one on and all I can see, when I look in the mirror, is a big porpoise caught in a fishing net! I just don't feel sexy or confident, all I can focus on is my cellulite and my excess belly and bum!

:(

I often order dresses with long sleeves, as I have really lumpy arms. I got a really nice stretchy jersey dress from Asos for about ?15 with long sleeves and sits just below the knee and it's very flattering.

My Everything5Pounds order arrived today. As reported, the sizing is very tight. I am currently about a 14-16. I ordered 2 dresses in size 18 and they are pretty tight, especially around the thighs. (I do have thunder thighs though!) Quality doesn't appear too bad but I wouldn't want to bet on what will happen when they go through the wash!  ;D

Ohlala Cherie and Dreamgirl Lingerie (both on Amazon) have some amazing lingerie sets in sizes 6 - 24

Pour Moi (on amazon & ebay) are brilliant for your every day bra and knicker sets and come in some gorgeous colours, again the sizes go upto a KK and size 26 I believe

Tesco also have 2 for ?16 on bra's atm and go up to a 40G

The problem I find is every designer has different sizing, I'm a 24 and some designers have a 50 inch bust which is fine, but then others its like a 46 inch bust if your lucky.

So while there are a lot of designers creating plus size clothing, only a very small percentage do clothing that actually fits me.

Does anyone know of anywhere that sells decent larger size stockings & tights?

I'm 5'5 and a size 22 on the bottom and always wore M&S ones, but they seem to have changed theirs and they are now too short and seem to go no further than just above my knee.

So I need a larger size with a longer length but not too long as I'm not actually tall.

Any help is much appreciated  :)

If you go onto Amazon and search 'Romartex' you want to be looking for 'By Paradiseforwomen'  I have bought all my stockings from this company for the past 3 years and never had any issues with them, they also come in a wide variety of colours as well!

As a size 22/24 girlie I'm wondering will a queen size fit me and has anyone tried the lovehoney plus range in my size? If so how did it fit? Things like dress up/uniforms, chemise/babydolls, basques I'm talking of. And their stockings, do they reach upper thigh n cope with large thighs or are they literally useless n come just above the knee n cut blood circulation off if they reach any higher? Any outfits which I should avoid due to bad quality n fit?

I just ordered a load of outfits and Basques off LH and although I've not yet tried them on properly, the quick try on of the uniforms seem to be great. I had a good read of reviews before deciding on what to buy. Also got a free crop and Lacey robe. I'm a size 22/24 BTW with D cups. I think if my tits were like a G upwards I might have a problem with the fit but thank god in this case it's worked out better having smaller breasts. The only thing I've not yet managed to buy is stockings. I don't do hold ups, hate the things and my thighs are massive and I will only wear decent ones that are really long and reach to the top of my legs and fit well. My usual brand is all sold out in all the colours I need. I've had a good read of many reviews including the Romartex ones mentioned on here which seemed not to be very good quality or long enough from what people have said. Now I'm wondering where to buy from? I need black, red and white. I don't know why the problem of decent plus size stockings long n wide enough in the leg still has to be such a problem. Slim girls have a huge array to choose from and big girls are done for if the ones they rely on happen to be sold out for weeks on end which is usually the case. I am really on my last few pairs of black stockings now and they've got so worn in I'm literally gonna be hiding ladders in the foot!!! What else other than what's already been mentioned do you ladies buy that you can recommend?

CurlsnCurves Glad you found some outfits.  :)

I have said it before while designers are now making decent lingerie for us bigger girls they don't seem to get that a lot of us are a lot bigger than a G cup so while it might fit elsewhere it will be far too small in the bust, but then if you buy a bigger size it will be too big elsewhere.

I'm a 24/26 and a 50in bust and in 4 years I have not found one outfit that would fit.

The verdict on the outfits from LH is this......love the nurse tunic one with belt n plenty of arm room n my arms are big bingo wings n awful so I was worried they would be too tight. Nope. Very comfy. Love the tie back maid and schoolgirl but a couple of alterations need doing. Ribbon under boob's just hangs loose and the white section on schoolgirl is a bit long for me. Maybe I'm just short in the mid section. Keeping those though. My boob's fit but no real support despite under wiring. I don't care though and despite me worrying my back fat will look horrible these outfits look good from behind too, very cute with the matching knickers. There's a wet look Basque with cut out in centre which looks super hot n gives you an amazing cleavage, my only gripe is the elastic tie around the halter neck needs padding as afterall it is holding the weight of heavy tits! So I think it will get uncomfortable n dig in but as it looks so great on I'm keeping it.

Now for the Basques, not great. Boob area on one of them is just not adequate, the other I'm not sure about as yet. Just not that amazing on. U want knock out, cute, sexy, flattering, not ah, it will do. They are soft body ones not the stiffer type. They have sort of cut out bits on bust, a bit strappy. There's a hook n eye back lace black one I'm umming n erring over. Fine in the bust for me with nice comfy padding to side of boob but the bra strap at the back is rough n doesn't feel good n I need to model it for a guy I know to see what he thinks as I'm not sure it has that wow factor which if it did I would cope with the back strap regardless. Not tried it on with stockings as yet so that may be the clincher.

Satin maid outfit..... no, no and no. Bust is ridiculously tiny, I'd say B to C cup. Who are they making this for? Most plus girls aren't that small in the bust!!! I also feel the length of the skirt should be shorter. And when u tie the apron unless you do it uber tight it just hangs there. You'd have to breathe in n tie it I think. Garter belt is too tight. Okay above knee but no way it would get near upper thigh. The free robe will need sending back but I'm not arsed really.

I also bought flavoured lube. New to me really. Mango and peppermint. Hands down the peppermint tastes nicer. The mango is so sweet. I had planned using the mango on me to lube up before bookings n also taste sweet but not certain now. The mint was for me to use on them. I've got an arousal cream coming tomorrow for the clit too. It's got mint in it which is supposed to feel great on genitals in very small applications. And it's condom friendly. Will report back on if it actually does much in terms of arousal.

I will be leaving reviews on LH for everything at some point. Probably once I've tested out the effect of the items I'm keeping on a few punters.

Try the Por Moi brand - you can buy via Next website. These are the most technically engineered sussies I have owned and they work well.

M&S used to do good ones but they only do silly novelty types now - quite a few of the good old M&S ones are available on ebay and seeing as they are not "intimate" contact undies, I have bought old style M&S ones from there.

The best pair of sussies I have I got from a charity shop - I think they are genuine 1960's vintage and built to last (but still sexy).

I have got a lot of very high quality whoring clothes from charity shops - skirts, tops and shoes

I tend to buy mainly from Lovehoney but even there it is hit and miss.  I am a size 14 with a bit of a stomach (caesarian op 13 years back) and size 36F boobs.

I tried buying on Ebay to no avail the sizes were even worse.  Also the clothing from China is geared towards the Kylie Minogue types of this world so again that is out on Ebay despite the sizes they promise to send you.  Nice waste of cash.

Bondara is hit and miss I don't buy much if anything from there.

Ann Somers is too expensive and a poor fit.  A nice waste of time in my experience.

Great tip about Pour Moi on Next I have an account with them so I will check it out thanks to the person higher up the thread who suggested this.

Does anone else have problems getting the stocking to clip into the suspenders?

I have bought about three suspender belts/basques where the actual plastic bit will not fit through the loop bit when the stockings are attached. There is always one which does not work.

I have struggled so much that I have now given up with stockings and just wear hold ups.  I'm a size 16 and would love a deep suspender belt which is easy to use.

VC - thanks for the stockingsdirect tip - never come across them before and they have some nice opaque holdups like I have been trying to get for ages and proper suspender tights that I can now replace my old ones with (I spent hours in Cheltenham last week searching for some with no success). Just placed an order with them.

Incidentally, those struggling with suspenders should try a pair of suspender tights - dead comfortable, last for ages and don't sag. Also good for having sex in ;) and look great. Leg Avenue is the one I recommend. I'm not plus size but they do big sizes and they are stretchy yet supporting. :)

Made me laugh Kay yes they are the work of the devil! When someone asks me to wear stockings sometimes I am upfront and say I don't wear them but other times I just say yes and wear hold ups anyway and have never had any negative comments!

I agree it is the plastic bobble thing that is the problem and the metal being thin that it bends. The old fashioned metal ones I'm sure would be fine.

Por Moi Are great for suspenders as are Sensalle .Sensalle Lingerie is a lot more expensive but the design and quality is  on par with AP

My favourite suspender belt is Paola lascana suspender belt its fantastic
I must have five or six of them in case they stop selling them  and have been using them for ages  they are stretchy deep and easy to clip on the strap bit  you can get the bra as well to match

Hi all I was just wondering where you would recommend for a size 14 shapely person as Lovehoney and Bondara although quite good often do not have the requisite sizing.  They come up so small.

I am by no means huge but I do have a bit of a stomach and am size 14 with 36f boobs.

I have wasted money on ebay in the past to no avail as they are so spindly and tiny and are more for the stick insect type figures/Kylie Minogue ladies which I am not.

I wouldn't need to order in the Plus size but I am definitely shapely and do struggle with the above two brands.

Where does anybody else buy their adult clothing I wonder?

What I'm wearing right now:
Dress with plunging neckline - £14 in Tesco
Deep suspender belt - £20 from Stockings HQ (worth paying extra for quality strong fastenings)
Lace top stockings - £5 from M&S
Red bra and knickers - £15 from George at Asda

I have wasted money on ebay in the past to no avail as they are so spindly and tiny and are more for the stick insect type figures/Kylie Minogue ladies which I am not.

I wouldn't need to order in the Plus size but I am definitely shapely and do struggle with the above two brands.

Where does anybody else buy their adult clothing I wonder?

If you have a bit of a belly then ideally you want to look for  the Deep style Suspender belts not the ones made of a piece of string

If you like the look of this one Paola lascana suspender belt pm Me as I have one unused still with lables on it   It’s stretchy material  very pretty and flattering it’ has a mesh back to it so covers the bum and there is no hook and eye to it you just slide it on

Zalando also do a matching bra and they also have some nice Suspender belts sets

Another thing is to buy a deep suspenders belt with the built in knickers and cut out the knicker bit
If you google deep Suspender belt with built in knickers you will see them you can get them  for about a tenner on amazon

Poir Moi do some gorgeous Suspender belts
Sensall is my favourite for when I want to treat myself

I have a bad habit of seeing something I like and buying In bulk 😂 which is why I have the extra Suspender belt

Thank you for your suggestions girlies.

I detest suspender belts with a passion I feel so uncomfortable in them but I will research Sensall plus La Senza.

Thanks again.
