hi girls and guys!
random question, i have been thinking about this for a few days.. what is the most commonly used perfume by escorts? i know this might sound silly but i'm looking for a change and would like one that matches the job! i know what i like but not what the client like.. any suggestions??
-
I would never wear perfume for a booking unless a client specifically requested it - the smell comes off on people very easily, and it's not discreet at all. Obviously some clients will be single, but it's not worth the risk.
I feel much the same way about punters turning up reeking of fragrance too - there's. Nothing worse than trying to get the smell out of a hotel room with windows that don't bloody open and it's even harder trying to get it out of my hair :(.
-
I agree with Amy, I never wear it, just nice-smelling deoderant, I don't find that the perfumey smell in it clings. That said, I'd wear perfume for overnights - I'm a Chloe girl myself but I'd imagine the "escort scent" should be classic Chanel No. 5 ;)

I don't like No.5, although I used to wear Coco Mademoiselle back in the days before I started smelling it on people coming out of kebab shops. Chanel Gardenia is my favourite from the Rue Cambon folk, but smells weird on me so I only ever mist it on my clothes.
I do have punters ask now and again and I'm happy to pick something, but even then I don't wear 'my' favourites for work - I tend to go for perfume I've been given and want to use up, or whatever.
EDIT: I've just got into a lift that somebody wearing about half a bottle of Angel has just got out of. Now there's a prossie scent :D.
-
I do wear scent, but only fresh clean and citrus smells, nothing heavy, no client has ever complained, and they can shower before they leave.
But I know guys are meant to find vanilla scents erotic, if you wanna go for something like that!

I tend to go for an expensive brand at House of fraser smelling before deciding. I think many perfumes go with this job as long as it smells good.

I'm exactly the same. I never wear perfume unless asked. And hate clients who wear way too much. And for some strange reason they always spray their balls with it, it tastes so horrible.
However in my private life I feel naked if I don't wear perfume!
-
If I know they're single, or don't know I don't wear any. If it's ok to wear I use Boss Orange in the Summer and Boss Orange Sunset in the winter!
But in my private life use something totally different!

I agree, I have had some strong aftershaves lingering and I just don't wear a scent nowadays
-
Thanks Amy that is a very good point i had not thought of (surprisingly since i always think to wear mens deoderant!! so sort of self defeating when i wear perfume!!)
Very good advice girls, thanks for your help!! - i will buy something i just love for my personal life.. still not sure what it will be though, i do love the new chanel coco noir but it only comes in large (thus expensive) bottles which arent great when you're trying one for the first time
-
I too, am another who only wears a nice smelling deodorant and wouldn't dream of wearing a lingering scent while working.
My private life is another story though.
-
Never, ever wear perfume.
The only toiletries in my home are mens. Never compromise the client.
-
As usual a great wealth of advice from the ladies!!
my only small problem here, and i know it is a serious minority is that i have had several clients complaining that i was not wearing 'sexy perfume' (thats mostly what triggered me to ask the question which perfumes do escorts wear!) - i am always clean and wear mens deodorant but i had no idea what perfume was classed as 'sexy'
I suppose the best option would be to start with nothing and only wear it if specially requested xx
-
when i get dressed to go out i wear chanel allure i love it i wear it for work when i do an out call and my clients love it. If i get a booking request for a married man at home he will state no smellies pls so i won,t then. This happens once in a blue moon. I don,t compromise my clients they are fine with it or would otherwise say.

I always wear perfume when I'm working and I confess don't completely understand the reasons behind the other Ladies being so against it. (No judgement, no agenda here, bear with me and I'll explain!)
In my opinion sex will generate some smell even when it's between two freshly showered, spotlessly clean and healthy bodies - and that's without the all pervasive, incredibly clingy and absolutely unmistakable smell of condoms. My Clients are always free to shower before they leave and if they choose not to then the possibility of them having a vague smell of my perfume about them is probably the least of their worries with regards to discretion!
Sorry - just my opinion! :)

Im with you here. Unless they ask me to not wear anything then I will continue to use perfume, scented body lotion and female shower gel.
A few of my faves: Ghost original & Ghost sweetheart. Hugo boss intense. Jimmy choo.
-
I wear perfume for work too. I like heavy perfumes such as Coco, Boudoir or AP. I used to like Alien but everyone wears it now. Each to their own as to whether they wear it for work or not, but I always give a guy the option to shower afterwards as well so they don't have to worry about smelling of perfume on their way home.
-
Dexi I also love the heavy perfumes!
I don't know how much truth there is to this (or what colour hair you have!) but i was in selfridges perfume dept in london the other day and was told by a sales woman that blondes tend to go for light sweet scents and brunettes the heavier ones!! - could be rubbish but i found it amusing!!
-
Nope I'm brunette and hate a heavy perfume (gives me headache) must be a generalisation. ::)
-
Light floral types for me, can't stand heavy scents think it's from childhood and walking by someone who had bathed in theirs.

I do agree that a smell will be generated but it washes off, as does the smell of condoms unless you use really stinky ones (which I don't). The smell of any decent quality perfume does not wash off easily, or it shouldn't. I'm not going to be washing their clothes for them before they go either - I don't find that many of my clients come in and strip off immediately so there's every chance it would come into contact with a collar, or whatever (and this is why I don't wear make up either, or at least no more than a bit of tinted lip balm or something).
I just don't see the point in taking any unnecessary risks - my sense of smell is like a bloodhounds (it's about the only one of mine that actually works :)) and I can spot it a mile off; I know when one of my clients has walked past somebody smoking on the way to mine, or whether somebody has changed their washing powder and even a whiff of anything unfamiliar would be picked up easily.
Plus the perfumes I like are expensive, and I like to save them for civvy time :).

EDIT: I've just got into a lift that somebody wearing about half a bottle of Angel has just got out of. Now there's a prossie scent :D.
This made me giggle ........Angel IS a prossie scent , and deemed a stripper/hooker scent by the "parfumista" commuinity ( i spend a lot of time on that perfume forum when i have "down time" as i collect them) .........I actually love Angel EDT ( not as strong or patchouli -heavy as the original EDP , a diff scent altogether IMO ) , Angel EDP is too strong and "obvious" , it actually makes me feel a bit sick. It smells like B.O too on those whos skin chemistry isnt right for it .
The other Thierry Mugler perfumes "Alien" and "womaninity" ( yuk) seem popular with escorts too. They are strong !! I love alien , but the other smells like period blood to me ( sorry ! )
Coco Madam = kebab shops .........Oh lol!!! I know what you mean , but they are probably wearing "Suddenly madam glamour " from Lidl ( stupid name for a scent!) ....Actually SMG is a damn good copy of CM , some mag did a blind sniff and everyone preffered the Lidl...Ive actually just run out of it , have to get some more , its good buy for ?3.99!!
I dont wear perfume on bookings unless they give me the green light to do so , I have mentioned it in my FAQs , "i can wear perfume if you wish" , ect.
I agree with the others , a lot of clents wont thank you if you wear scent and it tranfers to there clothes.
If i do get the green light to wear perfume , i like Vivienne Westwoods "Boudior" , men find it very sexy, probably because it has an undertone of "clean lady parts and bodies after sex " in it. Some very descriptive reviews online for it. Her "Anglomania" is gorg too , but v rare/exspensive on ebay now , so i am hording my list bottle
-
I used to wear Chanel no 5 a lot then switched to Victoria Beckham I adore musky sweet perfume now I wear Lolita Lempicka. Then add Soap and Glory cream on my skin. (I adore their products and packaging I like things as most do that look nice)
I never had a client say anything about me wearing perfume and even though with discreet and all I have a habit of putting a lot on. I think I must get it from enjoying walking past someone and smelling nice perfume on them and wanting to smell as good (kinda strange I know) :D
-
Yep Chanel no 5 is a classic you cant really go wrong with, fragile by Jean Paul Gaultier is lovely I think, but the rest of my perfume collection is strictly off limits. I generally try to avoid wearing perfume as shower gel and body lotion does fragrance the skin..nothing smells better than freshley washed skin
-
I always wear a splash when I'm working or not (unless asked not to) but I definitely don't use a lot. One of my favourites is Jimmy Choo, I also love fresh florals or fruity smells so Daisy by Marc Jacobs is also a big favourite of mine.
-
I can't stand heavy perfumes and opt for a lightly smelling body lotion, body butter plus a light spray with the end of a bodyspray I got with some perfume for Christmas 2011, or one of my other bottles of real perfume. I started telling people(work and private life) to stop buying me perfume because I only use small amounts and a full bottle might last me up to two years - that's if it's not gone 'off' and I've thrown it away.

I wish mine would last so long :)
-
I love Angel and always get some for birthdays & christmas without fail and often get it as a present from clients who know me well ( but i would never wear it for work as its just way to overpowering and strong ) its a love it or hate it perfume though been wearing it for years
Also love Channel No 5 and Coco Channel and i like a lot of mens aftershaves especially the old ones from the 90's like Jazz & Korus ( do they still sell those )
For work i normally use body shop perfumes and lotions as i find they last for ages and are generally pretty non offensive for most tastes i tend to go for vanilla or coco butter smells
-
For bookings I use something cheap or something I want to finish off.
My sensitive head doesn't like heavy perfume, so it's always something light or floral. But I love perfume and I do wear it unless asked not to.
At the moment, for bookings I'm using dkny red delicious or halle berry- halle (this one I just want to get rid of).
I use different scents for summer and winter, and also i usually don't wear my real life perfume for bookings, however... I sometimes put my real life perfume for my favourite regulars. I think I just secretly fancy them.

+1 in regard to all 3 parts.
Fragrances alter depending on who is wearing them. When Paul Smith Extreme came out I was given a bottle. Over the first week of wearing it I had 3 of my staff and 2 clients ask me if I'd been smoking 'something' cheekily (Dune smells like cats pee on my Mother). I gave the bottle, straight out of my bag to the last member of staff who asked as she had been looking at buying some, smelt great on her. When I wear Angel I get stopped to ask what I am wearing (especially by married men wanting to treat their wives) and well heeled women are left in complete shock as they always think it something rather exclusive. I could not care that it is a favourite of chavs (or prossies too it seems) as it is a fragrance that works with my body.
For work I put unscented baby stuff on most of my body, then use either soap and glory body butter or a body shop one on my legs and lower arms as they need more moisturising and it means there is a hint of a smell, but nothing that will linger on their clothes.

Such a great and classy choice :D, could not agree more. But I also love coco chanel mademoiselle (even though I had to google the spelling :o)x

:D Cant do the quote thing yet but..
Im glad to know Im not the only female who wore mens fragrances lol.
I loved Pi by Givenchy ...its the rich vanilla, honey cocoa butter smell, its so heady and sexy but not a heavy musky note, its absolutely delicious!! I bought two bottles of it and I only realised it was for men when someone pointed out to me but by then my friends started wearing it too..
Another alternative to perfumes are scented oils. You can mix a drop or two of an essential oil into your mosturising cream, butter or oil as a little does go along way. Depending on your preference or mood there are lots to choose from.
-
I always wear perfume and never thought of how it may be lingering on my client although the married or attached ones do tend to have a shower before they leave. Ive never had any complaints infact I always get compliments about how I smell but I will bear in mind what Amy said.
Since doing this job I put my personal life on hold as far as relationships and dating is concerned so I don't need to worry about aftershave lingering on me.
:-* xx

It is the best for longlevity ...I wish all parfums were such top quality . T.M did a "Garden of Stars " limited ed's of Angel a few years back . I have the "violette angel "and its amazing. I use it very sparingly as its hard to find now. Its that strong that a silk top thats been through the wash STILL smells faintly of violet/chocolate/patchouilli !!
Tried "Black Orchid" by Tom Ford the other day ....pricey but worth it I think ;) .
Angel lovers may like it , as it shares the choc/patchoulli notes , but its very much its own scent too , not another Angel clone.

Agree !! I have Pi too , i don't care what the gender on the bottle is :) Scents are scents , its just marketing hyperbole that dictates femme or homme . Gorg scent , and a better quality nutty vanilla than "Hypnotic Poison " . H.P used to be a powerhouse , but Dior got greedy and H.P and the original Poison are now weak rip offs that aren't worth the Dior price tag. . . . Looking for a good replacement is what led me to Pi .
( I bought an el-cheapo copy on market other day - "Fatal Snake Hypnotising " ;). Its actually longer lasting than Diors current HP reformulation. Its a poor do when copys smell and perform better than the real thing. Very happy with my copy for ?4 , scent lasts and is spot on to original H.P , no cheap scent taint once the initial alcohol evaporates .... its even in a dressing table worthy bottle ..............I will try "Fatal Snake" ( Poison copy) next )
Going to spray some Pi now , yummy ! Love these kind of oriential vanillias in the cold weather - C
-
La vie est belle by Lancome is my scent of choice. Doesn't last very long, considering how much it is, but it's the most beautiful thing I've ever had the pleasure of smelling
:)
-
Boss Nuit is my fragrance lately, however don't use it at work
-
I don't wear perfume while working but my choices for the civvie st are Gucci Rush, Alien and Angel
-
I don't tend to wear perfume for bookings unless it is asked for, but when I am working I wash with mist you madly scented soap and glory though and i find that leaves a gorgeous smell but doesnt transfer to clients :)
In my private life I only wear jean paul gaultier classique... I love the smell and I find that it goes lovely with my shower gel too (pink pepperpod by molton brown) it seems to combine and make this lovely unique scent! :)

Hahaha I sometimes spritz myself with something sexy to cheer my self up..not for anybody else but just for me!! But with clients I will spray just a little bit inbetween and underneath my breasts so I smell nice but the scent doesnt rub off on him.
Also white patchouli by Tom Ford is lovely for daytime wear. That is one that I would not share with a client but would spray on my bedding or shirts and it lasts for ages even after washing.
-
A lot of clients dont want you to wear perfume for obvious reasons, the body shop do nice body sprays that aren't as pungent aa perfume
-
I was wondering if any of you use your usual perfume for work or if you have separate ones for work and personal life. When I went to the swinging clubs I used a different perfume than my usual favourite. It was still one I liked but a cheaper brand, in fact it was an Avon one. I still liked it but to me it represented the club. As soon as I put it on I felt ' in the zone' if you like. I have decided to use something different again for escorting to help me do the same as far as mind set is concerned. Keeping my absolute favourite for my personal life and for myself and my partner. Do any of you do this or maybe you don't use any.
-
I find guys like you to smell nice but not too strong as the smell can linger and go on to them.
I shower and use deodorant but no scent or eau de toilette as that is what my clients prefer. Many girls are the same.
Its just another part of being discreet. What would you think if you smelt a strange perfume from your man?
-
Hmm yes that's a point. Do they actually say that? I can see that would pose a problem, a bit like lipstick on your collar.
-
NEVER use perfume, unless specifically asked for. Just smell clean and fresh, with a bit of deoderant and a bit minty from your toothpaste/mouthwash.
-
I tend to just use a subtle scented body cream whilst working, I don't want clients smelling of my perfume for obvious reasons, mind you some guys wear such heavy scented aftershaves they linger on me which I don't like.
-
Glad I asked the question now. It's not just the big stuff us newbies need answers to. Thank you all. :)
-
I smell amazing. I cover myself with all sorts of fruity/scented body cremes, love the body shop ones, and perfumes. Sometimes expensive perfumes and sometimes just body sprays, depends how busy or quiet work has been going when I go off to stock up lol. I am kind of loving the body shops new scents, they are so delicious.
I have never had a guy complain that I have scents on and I know they can smell them. I get lots of compliments that I smell delicious. If a guy has to be careful about scents then he usually says on the phone when booking so I then use e 45 cream instead and no perfume at all. So far I have never had a guy arrive and say "oh no, you smell perfumed" although if he did I would just stick him in the bedroom and tell him I will have a quick shower. It only takes 5 minutes to wash it all off again doesnt it.
-
Hmm yes that's a point. Do they actually say that? I can see that would pose a problem, a bit like lipstick on your collar.
Yes Carmel, some have commented on the perfumed aroma in the room when they visited friends of mine and some have actually left.
It can be easily washed off body but even with opening a window it can take a while to be removed from the atmosphere. I knew a lady years who wore a certain perfume and you could actually tell if she was in the building she wore so much, but that is another story.
It is nice to smell nice and we all get told how nice we smell and how good we taste but its how we get that aroma or taste that makes the different.
Like you say, its all the little things that have to be learned that make the biggest differences.

There is a very famous ( and dated ) perfume out there that actually arouses me so much I have to ahem 'deal with myself' before I leave the house.
For discretion ( and because I'm too tight to buy it just for work) I never use it unless I'm on a big night out ( or staying home alone indeed ) ;)
-
Ive Tried to stop using perfume as i hate tasting it on a clients lips after he has kissed my neck. I like to use a body mist, usually a vs one as soon as I'm out of the shower. They're not too strong and don't taste funny.

I always wear perfume, unless a client specifically asks me not to. I don't consider it my job to protect a punter's marriage. I provide unscented shower gel for use "after". If a guy chooses to go home to her indoors un-showered - serious lack of (self)respect - or can't be arsed to factor in a two minute sluice-down before going into a meeting, I don't consider it my responsibility to make sure he doesn't get sprung. I wear what makes me feel expensive, feminine and desirable, and it's as important to me as wearing stockings without ladders, and sticking on a few false eye lashes i.e. part of my professional theatrical make-up.

Oh, I was worried someone would ask me that! :-[ Very embarrassed to admit it's 'Opium', but don't all rush out and buy it ladies - It's probably some remnant memory of an 8o's adolescent fumble ( Yes, I'm THAT old ) ;D
-
I use a specific kind of perfume when I work. For one, it seems to help get my brain in the 'Ok, we're going to work now' mode and two, my clients love it. One of my lonelier ones said it made his apartment smell like me after I left, and it was comforting to him. I'm sure it's made some of them nervous, but I agree with Sourgrapes. My client needs to be taking precautions to protect their own marriage :/ Plus, I'm outcall only, so I don't see a lot of married men - most of them don't seem comfortable with having their call girl in the same home they share with their wife.....

I wear Opium all the time! It's not really that old - only from the 80's. I also wear Shalimar (1921) and Mitsouko (1919). Those and Coco (also from the 80's) are my four regular scents. I love old-fashioned, sort of spicey/vanilla perfumes.
I don't really wear perfumes in bookings. I assume clients would rather I didn't. I will wear a vanilla body butter. If it's an outcall to a hotel then I will wear a little perfume, but not too much.
-
My favourite is the classic Channel N05, but I won't wear it for work as I associate it with other memories. I wear Impulse, always the same one, and Clients like that I always smell the same and yes, I have been told by some that they like the lingering pillow smell. Ahh.. :)
-
I use a small amount of indie colognes from companies like Black Phoenix Alchemy Lab - them lingering isn't too much of a problem because most of my clients are also male.
-
I like heavy musky scents anyway so usually I like to use a male aftershave, some of them smell fairly unisex anyway and it saves the partner questioning why he smells of flowers when he gets home. Also, yes, I agree, my personal scents are for me and I would not want them to remind me of work as it is separate.
Good male scents that can be worn by women include Gucci for men and the male Obsession by Calvin Klein.

That's funny. I've been wearing Shalimar for ages, a family tradition. I like my stuff to be Guerlain only and the second one is Hermes.
I do not wear parfume if the guy tells me he's married etc. Some of them actually remember to ask no lipstick no perfume. But otherwise I always do. And perfume is a great turn on for me as well.
-
Channel allure. Strong and feminine enough to be sexy and make me feel nice, but light and zesty enough not to be too overpowering.

Oh, I was worried someone would ask me that! :-[ Very embarrassed to admit it's 'Opium', but don't all rush out and buy it ladies - It's probably some remnant memory of an 8o's adolescent fumble ( Yes, I'm THAT old ) ;D
I love Hermes 24! Beautiful stuff. I've toyed with buying some, again (had it years ago) but I recently bought a couple of florals when the weather was so hot so I'm sort of stocked up, now.
I love Amarige, but discovered that it doesn't last on me. Within a couple of hours you can't smell it at all. So I gave it to a friend. I still have Beautiful by Estee Lauder and White Diamonds (Elizabeth Taylor) from my wild Boots spree. So, I now have too many fragrances! but I am just not feeling the heavy orientals at the moment with this hot weather.
-
Channel allure. Strong and feminine enough to be sexy and make me feel nice, but light and zesty enough not to be too overpowering.
I used to wear that! But I haven't in some years. I liked it - it was a good young fragrance when I was good and young. ;)
-
I've actually got a booking tonight where I've been asked to wear perfume - I never use it when I'm working unless I'm asked, but this is the first one in ages. I'm going to wear two different ones and see if he notices :D
-
I don't really like many perfumes and I would never wear one for work unless asked and would then shower it straight off after anyway. they tend to give me headaches
I do however always use Victoria Secrets coconut body mist. Its a soft light fresh and airy mist that has a very subtle coconut smell and smells pretty much like you have just stepped out of the shower but unlike fresh shower smell this lasts for hours so will last a long booking.
I also use it to freshen my room as air fresheners give me a headache too
-
I smell like shower gel, conditioner and toothpaste :P And natural feminine odours ;)
-
My favourite is the classic Channel N05, but I won't wear it for work as I associate it with other memories. I wear Impulse, always the same one, and Clients like that I always smell the same and yes, I have been told by some that they like the lingering pillow smell. Ahh.. :)
Ahh, I LOVE, the smell of Channel No.5, coz it's the only perfume my mum's ever worn her entire life!
So it's probably some childhood-making-me-feel-safe thing or something lol, but it does smell lovely! :)
not so sure about the opium though ;), bit heavy for me..
A couple of years ago Armani had a special edition out, Armani remix, in a lilac bottle, it was AMAZING, somebody gave
me it for x-mas, I pure loved it!
Had I known they would never make it again I would've saved it for special occasions, instead of spraying it on my pillow
and round the room etc. :(
-
I'm allergic to most perfumes and some aftershave. It can give me headaches and or get my nose tickling leading to constant sniffling and sneezing throughout the booking. Just been sneezing through my booking today due to my clients body spray. Sexy...
Needless to say I have to be careful what I wear, I have had to give away so many perfume gifts :(
But I do love a freshly showered smell on myself and clients. Oh and freshly washed clothing.

No chance antihestamines (sp?) would work?
-
Antihistamines I take one almost every day. No chance of getting a pet either :(

Im so glad one of us could spell THAT word, tried all the different ways and still couldnt win.

Haha sometimes autocorrect comes in handy! Xx

A good compromise can be dab of perfume oil behind each ear, or a spritz at the back of your neck: it can be noticed when you're close, but is unlikely to transfer to the client. But in general, I agree scented shower gels and deodorants are safer.
Is there anyone else who LOATHES Chanel No.5? I think it smells horrible on me, ditto Opium and most Guerlain perfumes. I think it's aldehydes that don't work with my skin. At the moment I like Valentina, but Code is the only perfume I've bought more than once.

YES, I don't like Chanel No.5 at all, and I've tried it several times. I really like Chance by Chanel which has a much sweeter smell, or Daisy by Marc Jacobs x
-
I got through ?50 perfumes so quick & also realized that a lot of clients don't want perfume due to discretion.
About to sound fresh off of Pinterest but : I recently made my own mix of vanilla & rose water so it's a gentle smell & can even go in hair too (not that overpowering fruity floral alcohol smell that perfumes tend to smell like) but it's fresh & i don't have to go without a scent but wont rub off onto clients. Wont dry out your skin like perfume either..
It cost me maybe ... ?10 to make altogether & i made about 700ml & put it in a spray bottle. Buy a small of bunch roses, use the distilling method (youtube). Then the vanilla scent is seperate, buy vanilla paste & sit it in almond oil for a month in a jar (oil preserves don't worry about that). Mix them both together in a spray bottle. You have to shake every time before use as obviously water & oil don't emulsify. Up to you if you add vodka to further preserve but not needed due to distillation.

Yes Kay and Alice. Itoo hate Chanel No5. Always have, never understood why it was so popular!! ???
Other Chanel's really like though :)
-
I tend to just use a subtle scented body cream whilst working, I don't want clients smelling of my perfume for obvious reasons, mind you some guys wear such heavy scented aftershaves they linger on me which I don't like.
I hate that too
-
has nobody actually said "with your nose" yet? for shame hehehehe!
i love vivienne westwood boudoir but thats just for me
i'm very new to this, so still learning. when prepping for a booking i will use either a scented body butter... i find body shop really good and some have a pleasant taste i've noticed, or i'll use a body mist like avon or such. i find it doesn't last too long as well, so doesn't easily transfer to the man
-
The Body Shop coconut body butter with shimmer is great stuff - nice scent and leaves little silver sparkles all over your skin.
For a sheen and a lovely scent, Soap & Glory's Glow Lotion is good.
A nice shower gel that leaves plenty of scent (though it's more spring/summer) is Clarins' Eau de Jardins - I could get through bucketfuls of the stuff!
-
This is only going to be for the single clients I may visit x ladies what perfumes do you wear to bookings?
Any recommendations x
-
I doubt most men have a sense of smell as we know it.
I use Impulse as it makes me feel nice.
I agree single men only.

Lots of ideas here - I typed 'perfume' into the Search box :).

Surely these would rub off and leave little silver sparkles all over the punters skin too? I can't imagine that making you very popular :o
-
Personally I wouldn't wear any sort of perfume unless it was requested, as we have no way of knowing if a client is in a relationship.
-
Amy, no, it's more of a gleam than sparkles, so I've never noticed it transferring - that said, I hardly ever wear it for bookings.
I'm into D&G's The One Desire perfume at the moment, but it has zero staying power!
-
Jimmy Choo EDP!
I always and I mean always get compliments when I wear it, from clients to people walking past me in the street!
Two sprays and it lasts forever. I do say to my clients if they require me to not wear perfume then please say so before hand!
But if they don't mind me wearing it this is the one I go for and I'm always complimented on it. Another one that I get compliments on is Viktor & Rolf FlowerBomb EDP both quote strong perfumes and stay on forever..
For summer I love Juicy Couture the one in the pink box with the glass bottle and pink ribbon around it. X
-
Lol, yep Flowerbomb is my fave but I'm running out. I use the EDP. It's not cheap though. I've had a compliment on L'eau D'Issey which is another fave. Angel I unfortunately have a large bottle of which I think doesn't smell good on my skin. Been trying to sell it as barely used and it's the EDP in refillable bottle but just can't seem to shift it. It smelled nice in the sample bottle, I don't know why the big one I bought is so different. Alien is too strong. I used to love Jean Paul Gautier Classique but not worn that for years now. And vanilla is something guys seem to like. Benefit used to have one I loved that got compliments n was quite sweet but for some unfathomable reason they stopped doing it n continued to only produce all the others instead. Gutted. Loved it. Funny about people saying Angel is a prossie scent.
-
Angel is the only perfume I had to immediately run and wash off. It made me smell like an unwashed taxi driver.
I wear a bit of perfume for most bookings but what I do is spray it down towards my knees just before I go to the door. This puts a bit of scent in the air of my room and I don't worry about getting it on their shirts when I kiss them hello.
I wear mostly old classics - orientals and florals. I can't say anyone really remarks on them - I wear them for me. My primary work scent is Anais Anais. It's very floral.
-
I use angel ( so yes Amy you're right I guess it is a prossie perfume hehe) if it's a regular who I know is single or will shower afterwards anyway.
If unsure I use Gucci rush as its very light, and put it on only on my temples and behind earlobes, I find it transfers if on my neck and wrists :)
-
When I first started several months ago I went to Selfridges to buy lingerie for a photoshoot. I bought a bottle of Agent Provicateur instead as lingerie is quite expensive there! Just wearing AP perfume alone makes me feel sexy.
-
I ALWAYS wear perfume and never considered it being transferred to my clients. I tend to wear Dolce & Gabbana Floral Drops as it is quite light and one of those scents that appeal to most noses. I may need to rethink the oerfume thing though.
I shower before every client but like to add a little spritz to make sure I smell good!
-
if anything I will spray on* lovely* by SJP but some clients wear such heavy scented aftershaves it ends up lingering around me for ages after they have left !
-
I love smelling nice and fresh, I loved Armani Remix, but it was a one off limited edition, so they don't make it anymore.. :(
I don't really have a favourite at the moment, anything light and fruity at the moment, DKNY is quite nice (on me, some perfume
smells totally different on different people!!)
I do get clients that ask me not to wear any perfume, for obvious reasons (I think Amy mentioned it at the beginning if this thread),
they don't want to come home to their other halves smelling of some strange perfume! ;D
I love Impulse bodyspray as well, not all of them, but there's some really nice ones, bargain as well lol ;)
-
I wear the vanilla and sandlewood impulse spray smells beaut!
-
I would never wear perfume for a booking unless a client specifically requested it - the smell comes off on people very easily, and it's not discreet at all. Obviously some clients will be single, but it's not worth the risk.
I feel much the same way about punters turning up reeking of fragrance too - there's. Nothing worse than trying to get the smell out of a hotel room with windows that don't bloody open and it's even harder trying to get it out of my hair :(.
Agreed. Maybe something clean/unisex: Dolce and Gabbana Blue is clean...kinda neutral if not overused
-
I wear the vanilla and sandlewood impulse spray smells beaut!
Yeah that's one of my favourites too :) It's the vanilla, guys seem to love it too!
They're quite often on special offer,99p a bottle, can't go wrong with that!
-
I daren't mention the Impulse that I use as everyone in my real life knows me by it. The scent drifts by and 30 minutes later I arrive folks ;D
Less known is the fact, for bookings I now use 'Goldigga' by er Goldigga ( cheap as chips at B&M bargains fact fans )
I mentioned it to a Client who remarked that the name was very appropriate.. :-\
-
in my real life, i'm all about vivienne westwoods boudoir as i just love it. hard to get a hold of as only really available online now. if i take a booking i usually just OD on shower gel and occasionally a wee spray of one of the avon body sprays as they don't really last too long and are quite subtle.
my shampoo is quite heavily scented, so i don't like to use very much that may transfer on to a client
-
I love Naughty Alice and Diamond, but never wear perfume for a booking, unless its a cheap from the pound shop one that wont last for more than an hour. I usually just wear body spray. I don't want my client leaving with the lingering smell of a nice expensive perfume that his other half dosen't use. x
-
Naughty Alice is the only one clients have complimented, on me at least.
In real life I love orientals like Shalimar, Mitsouko, Coco, and Opium. I don't generally waste them on clients. They get Naughty Alice on tour... At home Beautiful, Anais Anais, or maybe vanilla body spray.
-
I wear it too and my clients love it. Wearing perfume turns me on ;D
I love Agent Provocateur Fatale and always get compliments, especially from women, plus their L'Agent is stunning as well. They are both fairly heavy, heady scents and last forever.
I also love Coral Flower and Si from Lolita Lempicka but it just depends on my mood.
-
I always wear perfume and not once have I been asked to wash it off although many a time a guy has mentioned how nice I smell. If someone requests no perfume then I dont wear perfume.
I just wear what I like at the time although its usually something light. The body mists from Holister are nice as they smell lovely and are big bottles for only 11 pounds, bargain for work
Sometimes I wear my proper perfumes at work, Chloe, Hermes ets, really depends on my mood
-
I wear the vanilla and sandlewood impulse spray smells beaut!
Yeah that's one of my favourites too :) It's the vanilla, guys seem to love it too!
They're quite often on special offer,99p a bottle, can't go wrong with that!
I've got bottles of them all over my flats, I think the vanilla sandlewood one smells a bit masculine too which is a bonus
-
I use Miss Dior by Dior.
I love it and so do my clients.
I have men's deodorant and aftershave for clients to use if they are on their way home.
Lola x

Ditto. If I do use perfume its a mild/clean scent
-
I personally adore the Purple Alien along with D&G The One..Britney Spears Fantasy is sweet and seductive too. I love Decadence also. These would be worn for civvy or an outcall. If I was doing incalls I would use Ck Summer, Beyonce Rise or any Avon fragrance I have knocking about.
I know some ladies don't wear perfume to bookings but I don't go mad and will wear one a client likes if he requests it and I've worn it before
-
Tobacco Vanille, Channel no 5, Neroli flower from Portofino (that's what it's called) also Tfd Leather from Tuscany, all oil perfumes apart from the Channel no 5, I like to smell expensive ;)
-
I have a next nude one for work. But its crap can hardly smell it or notice im wearing it. Need something a bit stronger for work but not expensive x
-
Love Tom Ford Black Orchid.
But one skoosh of any old unwanted Christmas present will do for work. Or nothing at all depends on who has booked / if I know their circumstance.
-
By the way for any ladies that are a fan of the original Ghost I bought Charlie blue body spray and it smells identical and I like ghost so may buy a bottle of charlie blue for daytime wear/work as I love ghost and used to wear it for best when it first came out but my tastes have moved towards a heavier more seductive smell for best/evening wear
-
I don't tend to wear perfume just soap scent before bookings .
-
I wear Versace's Eau Fraiche for men - I prefer more masculine fragrances and this means clients don't need to worry about it transferring onto them.

That's a very good idea VC!
-
Same, those oil perfumes I mentioned are masculine types, I don't like fruity girly smells.
