Personally I choose not to declare escorting as my profession because of confidentiality- and I don't know how much access to this sort of stuff future employers get, but I wouldn't want to have spent the last 5 years slogging at uni only for the word "escort" in my employment history to affect any future employment prospects, simply because society doesn't yet accept us. But then everybody has their own plan and agenda, so this is just my personal take on it all!
Also, I think technically you can get pulled up on the fact that you don't have invoices to prove your earnings etc (unless you give these to clients?!) so HMRC can look at your rates on your website and estimate your earnings (probably grossly inflating them in the process!!!). And if they decide to question the figures you submit in your tax return, you have nowt to prove that you haven't actually earned the massive amount they quote you, and are left escorting til you are 95 to pay off the tax bill. (Although there must be a market for 95 year old escorts. Talk about a USP!)
Anyone with more knowledge know about this in more detail? Or am I talking 2.30am post-essay-writing crap?
