Website "friday-ad" fake postings.
« on: 21 October 2023, 11:41:58 pm »
Has anyone come across this site https://www.friday-ad.co.uk/uk/adult-services/escorts?

I have found my pictures and number on the site today. It seems to have scraped the pictures and from an old version of my birchplace adv (one of the main sites for trans escorts - its like our AW). I had couple of clients contact me from this adv recently and it has scared me a bit.

1) As I haven't made this adv I can't take it down if I need to in the future.
2) It doesn't list my services, my own advs make clear what I do and don't offer but if you saw me via this site and made a booking it could lead to difficult situations where you arrive anticipating something that I don't provide.
3) The fake adv doesn't list my prices so there are annoying dickheads who think they can negotiate on price.
4) (kinda vain) but as someone who is transitioning my look develops pretty quickly, these picks are only 6 months or so old but they kinda make me cringe, I don't want them them being in public!

My guess is the website (Friday-ad) is trying to set itself up as a competitor to the major escort listing sites and needs to establish a base of adverts to get traffic before they can charge us to advertise on their site.  I am not sure there is anything illegal they are doing, I have put my pics and number in the public space on my main sites, but it still kinda worries me.  Maybe GDPR? Are they using my personal data without my consent, if so what can I do about it?

What can I do about this, I have tried reporting the fake adv but nothing happens?  Has anyone else had this problem?

Not sure what you can do but I know that the Friday ad is a listing place for all types of ads not just adult ones.

You should be able to contact someone though as it is a legitimate business and been operating for many years.

Thanks for your help, it took a few days but the site did take it down.

Why someone bothered to put my details on this site worries me a little but hopefully all fixed now.
