Title: My booking schedule has gone from one extreme to the next...
Post by: UrbaneAspects on 30 March 2009, 03:35:37 am
Last weekend I worked everyday of the weekend and was exhausted (from driving due to outcalls) ! This weekend was the doldrums. Why do things happen the way they do  ???

Because that's life. Especially escorting life.

Yea...but I found it almost relieving in a weird sort of way. The surprises! And just the fact that I worked everyday last weekend let me know the Holiday slump is over now and things will began to accelerate! I havent had that many bookings back to back in I dont know how long.

Maybe last weekend was slow due to it being the end of month (bills?)

The end of the month at any time of the year is slow. That's why whenever I tour I always make sure it's at the beginning of the month.
But with this business you just can't tell. There's no point in trying to plan anything. The only thing you can plan on is that it'll have its quiet moments which you always need to take into account when working.

Well I'll have to keep that in mind next time I go hopping off on a cross country or cross-state excursion. But like you said, ya never know.
