Lunch between clients
« on: 25 January 2017, 09:12:01 pm »
I'm seeking new ideas for lunch between clients.  I ideally love to eat strong flavoured food especially with garlic and chilli, but clearly this is not the best choice when about to take a booking!   ::)

I know I must prevent both myself and the house smelling of cooking but the bland lunches I'm making do with are getting SO boring.

Any quick and tasty ideas please ladies?

Really finely chopped cherry tomatoes, with olive oil, goats cheese, chopped fresh basil and pepper to taste. Have it on a piece of toast, it's fab - basil is my go to non smelly seasoning  ;D

That sounds really nice and I haven't got any of those things in apart from the toast  :(
Otherwise I'd make it now
I just drink a big bottle of innocent ( thick) smoothies throughout the day and eat later usually , keeps me full and I get the vits and sometimes s**ts ! If it's the wrong one .

Can we keep it sex work related folks, please? Otherwise we'll just wind up with a massive list of what people eat during the day and there are plenty of food/recipe forums already :)

Sure Amy, I understand.  I just thought it might be helpful to myself and others, but I take your point.   :)

Do you normally work from home, or a hotel?

I generally work from hotels now and I always try to get a room with a fridge specifically so I can stash my dinner/tea in there. My favourite go to lunch when working is sushi. You've got your protein and your carbs, plus soy sauce, ginger and wasabi don't smell. Although I wouldn't want to see what would happen if you ate some wasabi and then put a dick in your mouth  :D

If I'm working from home or an apartment then I just keep the kitchen door closed and turn the extractor on if I'm cooking. I find a good quick but filling lunch is one of the Glorious soups (or supermarket equivalent) and a fresh bread roll to dip in it. I try to choose soups which have around 10g of protein per serving. So usually chicken ones.

I have to stay away from anything with lentils otherwise I'll be blowing clients off the bed  ;D
And me, I am not a mess, I am a wilderness, yes

Hmmmm if you want to make sure your breath stays fresh or "gets back to fresh" chew on some parsley (fresh) or coriander. Sure not everyone likes them but they cleanse your digestive system so your breath will be just fine. Or fresh lemon.  Say you have lunch date or dinner date and you eat smoked salmon, have fresh lemon with it and you should should be just fine.

Same goes for your fingers. If you worry about smelly fingers then rubbing your hands with fresh lemon will help.

Sorry Amy is that client/work/hygiene related. I thought it would help with our smell obsession:)

Also after you  eat, brush you teeth with bicarbonate of soda, then a strong toothpaste.  Also after brushing, you could do some "oil pulling". The oil acts like a magnet pulling all the food debris from your mouth, tongue, and teeth . (Google for more info). Then finish off with a mouthwash.

Or swap the olive oil for balsamic vinegar or drizzle both....so nice!

If you want to trick your brain into convincing your stomach that it's full then yes, use herbs and spices and lemon.  Make your food tasty. This way you don't have to eat a lot but you will feel full.
And when you eat: chew. Each bite. Sit down to eat. Put the cutlery down between each bite and chew. I know it's basic diet advice and I know we are terribly in rush in between bookings. But I think it's better to eat slowly and properly 1/3 of something than swallow the whole thing in 1 minute.
Personally I can't eat loads when I work because then I really need a nap. Last year I took a booking after a big, late lunch. I fell asleep on the guy and he really wasn't happy about it :( Today I had a soup for lunch and 2 of those NAKED bars. Sure not the best taste in my life (the bars I mean) but I'm not hungry.
