London riots?
« on: 08 August 2011, 11:20:54 pm »
I'm wondering if the riots are affecting anyone's travel? Fortunately, I'm slow enough that I dont' have to make the decision about whether or not to go out, tonight. But, I'm wondering what everyone is thinking and hoping all the Londoners are okay!!

Riots to the left of me (over a hill) and riots to the right of me (across a valley).

It's quite weird, and rather annoying - both these bunches are stupid mobs, taking whatever frustrations they have out on the small places that make the areas different.
'The Ian formerly known as SW5'. What they said: "Indispensable", "You are our best resource", and (hours later!) "I'm afraid that you're being made redundant..."

My neighbourhood is packed with police. The stores didn't open this afternoon and rumour is there's something planned for tomorrow. This really affects my business. I'm so angry. Why are they doing this? They're destroying family business, people's cars etc... I really don't get it.

I'm in North London and I've just come back from a weekend away home in North East to a scene of absolute madness. Street is full of riot police and the place has just gone insane. It's very scary when you live on your own and clearly It's going to really affect business >:(

Stay safe everyone.

I'm just up the road from one of the areas, and I was seriously pooing my pants, could see the fires and smoke and gangs of youths  >:( :(

Word is that Central London will be targetted tonight.

Truly is amazing! Their stragety is to hide in the local police station then suddenly jump out when it starts raining... Or something like that... Great plan...   ::)

It's effecting me. :-(  Typical...no bookings for days and then 3 when I don'ty want to venture out. Did the one last night but canceled the other 2 after the palaver and stress of last night.
