I've heard all sorts of awful stuff from, 'If you ever see me getting off with someone who's been an escort, please stop me. I don't want to catch anything', or 'blah blah was chatting up a hot russian girl when she told him she was an escort! How disgusting! He got away from her as fast as he could'.

I've even had people tell me prossie jokes

I find it so fustrating that people judge the way they do.Their judgements keep me living a double life when I would quite happily tell people if I knew I would not be looked upon as some sort of criminal.I cannot see things changing in my life time,if ever?.You just have to keep strong and let it go over your head x

Whilst I was doing my nurse training we had a session where we were discussing experiences on our last placement, and one girl was talking about her time in sexual health and said that they had a woman in who had a sponge stuck inside her, and the student was told by the nurse that putting sponges up there was common practice amongst sex workers during their periods etc. then that started the class saying 'ooh they'd do anything for money, they don't care about their health, they're so desperate etc'. I was biting on to my tongue so hard!  I felt like standing up and saying 'well actually......' more for shock value, as they all thought I was posh due to my accent and where I was brought up (erm would I be doing this job if I was posh?! Think not!). It annoys me the stereotypes that people have. I prefer to think of us girls as savvy business women, which we are!

I work in property and had to listen to an office full of people rip prostitutes to pieces when two girls were found running a brothel from one of our apartments. I was so shocked at the attitude of my colleagues, especially as the boys had been flirting with the girls and talking about how gorgeous and lovely they were when they had initially taken out the contract! I admit, I had to leave to get a coffee towards the end of the conversation because I was so furious at the way they were talking about "skanks" and "dirty bitches".

Two things I did enjoy though- telling them self righteously that prostitution was legal in the UK and having them all dispute it like the closed minded twats that they are.... and I ESPECIALLY enjoyed sitting amongst people who think I am a nice funny friendly person, smirking to myself that I am also one of the "skanky disgusting whores" they have also been slagging off. Immense satisfaction!!! As I said, closed-minded twats.

It's so exasperating! Honestly! If a woman slept with a different man every day then it's fine but because money changed hands it's 'disgusting' and 'skanky'! Please! Most probably they were clients and had seen these girls thus the need to make a "public statement" infront of their colleagues. A "normal guy" would be more relaxed about it, laugh  and wouldn't take it "so far".
