Juggling sw and health issues
« on: 19 June 2021, 06:14:20 am »
Hey
I was wondering what people who deal with mental and/or physical health problems do to make working easier or to motivate them etc.
Or with physical health problems what things help you with your body pain etc
Any advice or ways to help / things you do would be really appreciated
Thank you xx

It's a way of managing your illness first and foremost thats important otherwise it's hard trying to work with clients.
If your feeling under pressure financially to work it can impact plus physical health deterioration ,long term illness management.
I have inflamed bowel disease and struggle with unpredictable pain and urgent need for the bathroom.i have to take meds in the morning take breaks between bookings and look after myself.
On bad dark days I couldnt work feeling negative depressed I just didnt want to see anyone let alone have sex with strangers.
I hope whatever you have troubles with you look after yourselves ♡

One of the advantages of being self-employed/sex work is you can work as much or as little as you prefer. I don't know your set up, but if your health is unpredictable I would probably avoid bookings made well in advance, but on a day when you feel OK, go for it and try and do as many bookings as possible.

I'd also advise being sensible about scheduling, i.e. make sure you have 1-2 days a week totally off, or e.g. don't work mornings or nights depending on your body clock etc. I think it's a case of being pragmatic about what you can and can't do.

I’m anaemic and I suffer from depression too. It can be challenging as I sometimes don’t have energy to work as much as I’d like. While I enjoy my job my anaemia is a bit of a challenge as I do suffer spells of exhaustion often and especially hate getting lightheaded during a tour and have to turn down a lot of clients because of it.
