Client Guesswork
« on: 28 June 2023, 07:04:21 pm »
I think I may be in a bit of a unique situation when it comes to deposits... Guys are too keen to send them!

On a few occasions I've had guys enquire about an appointment by text, but due to time constraints (most recently him taking ages to reply and me going into another booking) I've not shared the info for them to send a deposit over so they JUST GUESS???

I don't use my working name or email address for PayPal or CashApp, PayPal shut down the account associated with my work info so I now have something completely separate but twice this month guys have sent deposits using information I haven't given them then get bitchy with me about taking money from them. They may not be very tech savvy but I'm struggling to explain what has happened to them and why I'm not taking responsibility for their impatience.

I tried explaining that the money is not in my account so they need to contact either the company or the person they did send the money to and ask for it back but it's not in my account so I cannot help them. One even sent a screenshot of his payment going through and the profile picture was a woman of a completely different ethnicity!

On another occasion a deposit was sent to a PayPal account with a similar email address to mine, mine is xxxxxphotos@xxxx.com and he sent it to xxxxxpictures@xxxx.com because in his mind photos and pictures are the same thing  :FF

Deposits save me a load of headaches, but also probably cost me a fair percentage of business from guys who can't transfer for legit reasons, but these guys really make me despair sometimes xx

Similar but different I've had punters want to send a deposit before we've agreed time, location (hotel name or their address), duration etc.

Also previous clients who already have my details, as well as some who have been online service clients or they book pay the deposit then start telling me their roleplay, dress requests etc or haven't given me a time or hotel nams. I want to know what I'm accepting before they send money. Also some I send details to then disappear, sending the deposit days later.

Some webcam/phone chat clients were not telling me how long they are booking, I only find out after they've sent. I now make it clear they have to tell me the duration when agreeing the booking, if they send a random amount (some still do after stipulation a duration) I only do the time they asked for.

Their mistake however is not your problem, like you I will not work without deposits so much of the time I take time to explain everything ie I don't accept deposits until I have these details, booking is not in my diary until I receive the deposit. If you send more than agreed I do not refund the extra.

Worst was someone who had been using someone else's bank account, who sent money to me by accident. I spent three hours sorting it out with the bank.

If they guess or make a mistake that isn't your fault.
