Question is, is SW a sustainable long term career? I would love to think so, however, to think that a personal body injury could take you out of it in the blink of an eye for months on end, and that it’s purely tied up to your physical condition and attractiveness, makes me doubt it. Thoughts?

Which is why I don't ski, too risky as self-employed person.

Apply this to being a builder, a massage therapist, an actor or any self employed work that is "physical". At least with sex work you can always open an only fans (unlike the above jobs).

In any occupation good health is essential.

Not really, my ex-ex is a cop (government job, monthly) and he has no issues drinking like a mad man, smoking and participating en very extreme sports because whenever "something bad happens" (mostly accidents and health problems) he just goes to the doctor, have him fill in a form and takes a sick leave . Because of his unhealthy habits he has quite a bad health. I wish I could be reckless too (just joking) but because I'm self employed I can't. I also cannot engage in extreme sports or unhealthy habits because I don't have a nice cozy goberment job to pay for my sick leave.

I think this depends on the individual rather than the work itself, as we age it may not be sustainable to provide a full service so there’s always the route of massage, milf or Domme work. As for mentally, I think some women can handle it and some can find it extremely tasking to think of this as a long term option.
I think we’ve all felt the pinch from being self employed over the past year but some how we have made it work!

Ladies, how do you find escorting in your 40’s plus….? Are you as busy and still enjoying the work? I am always concerned, there will be less work, as I get older. Always great to hear other people’s journals in this industry …thank you

I've never known it any other way as I started in my 40's.

Im very successful. I don't think it has to do with age so much as marketing, advertising, services, knowing your clients, area, getting your pricing right. The list is endless...

Many of us here are 40+, and many started escorting later in life. Some men will pay good money for a mature woman with life experience similar to his own.  It's somewhat of a myth that all men want 20-something escorts. The market is big enough for everyone, and being older is most certainly not a hinderance to making good money.

As KBP states, it's about marketing, advertising, services, knowing your clients, area, getting your pricing right. It is also down to attitude too. The advantage of being in one's 40s is that you are less likely to tolerate any nonsense.

I've merged this with the first I could find of the many existing threads on the subject, and when I've got time I'll add a few more in. I've answered so many times I'm not doing so again but this

is the only answer anybody really needs.

I've only just turned 40 (2 days ago) and am pondering the same questions, although I totally agree with the comments above how experienced and mature women are extremely desirable to guys across all age groups.. Xx

Plenty of work, I started in my 30s now mid-40s.

Embrace the younger punters who like older women, all ages who like all ages, older punters who like women closer to their own age.

Thanks for all the answers, very glad to know it’s not all doom and gloom. I’ve asked as I sometimes struggle to shake off the insecurity about it, that’s all.  :)
