I've recently watched "Orange is the new Black" in fact I not only watched it but I totally "binge watched" it and loved it, so if any of you girls have some free time just watch it, it's soooo good! During the program the inmates start a nicker selling business charging big bucks so I got to thinking if it's really profitable, I've also seen in done on TV documentaries so is it a real money spinner or more of a bonus for regular clients that doesn't really add much value?

I've had a pair up for weeks and nobody has taken a sniff to them  ;D But I have also put them up at a stupid price. I cant see the point of selling a used pair of pants for 20 credits when they probably cost more than that used lol, not to mention having my DNA on them ;)

Yeah well what cash price I wonder would be appropriate? I'd reckon it would have to be maybe ?25 per pair that could be worth it maybe. Yeah imagine if you got a scientist professor type who had a lab, goodness knows what he could with our DNA lol

Me thinks you would need to advertise and ship internationally to make it a viable business.

To handle the logistics you would probably need to get other girls on board and pay them a cut. Customers may have preference in different sizes and returning customers may look for a variety of 'scents'!

Do you know anybody in prison SheilaStar   ;DThat's exactly what they did on Orange is the new Black, they started shipping them everywhere and they subcontracted the girls to provide the merchandise. I bet there's specialist websites

So for most folk it's probably a good addon as there's a limit to what you can do yourself

If your thinking of selling them then buy thongs and pants from primark or another cheapo shop or flea bay but yes ask for a fair price you can sell worn all day knickers for a higher price or even panties worn to order.

So it could be feasable to earn ?15 a pair and if you had the buyers you could probably sell 15 a week which would mean you could earn between ?750/?1000 per month and that would allow a margin for paying fees at one of the sites, yeah I can see that as being a worthwhile addition ;D

It sounds feasible! You could also buy in bulk and increase your margin. Though for 15 a week you'd also need someone else to work for you, assuming that you need a day to scent each pair. You would also need to cut down on washing yourself as one day may not be enough. So that would take out say about 30 percent of your profit. Account also for posting, it could bring your profit to about ?600 a month. Still not bad. You could even offer more throughly 'aged' pairs for a premium.

I don't know anyone in prison but it sounds like I would enjoy watching this show!

They're talking about a fictional TV programme, SM. Since this is SAAFE and not Digital Spy it's going to stay on topic now though, but I'm sure you can find an answer with Google :).

I have sold only a few pairs in several years so not a money spinner at all for me!  I no longer advertise selling them. I have given them away to clients who ask though, a good way to get rid of my huge bagfull of old thongs and nicks which no longer fit.

A few weeks ago a new client asked if I sold them and I said yes and got a tenner for some old black frillies I no longer wore. I felt a bit guilty taking money for them, then realised I need to toughen up a lot more on that one.

I was about to throw away a pile of "thongs" that I hate wearing for the charity collection...then I saw your post.  I changed my mind now...
