I read it as that too.... when someone asks me that, I interpret it as an attempted phone wank so get of the phone sharpish and just say 'I need to go, my booking has turned up, email me any specific requests'.

Its not just you, me too.

It disturbs me deeply when my clients tell me what to wear. I am always well dressed, wearing lingerie and high heels. Its a given. I don't like the tone they take with me, I feel like I'm being ordered around as some sort of put down. Maybe its imagined but I do think its sexist. I have never in my life told a man what to wear and accept them for who they are. Apparently, the feeling is not mutual.

This seems a bit of an odd approach to 'customer service' lol.  Assuming the 'request' comes from someone who has placed a definite booking to suggest that it is 'sexist'  or that you're being 'ordered around', is surely quite ridiculous?  You are a service provider, the individual in question is the 'user' of the service you are selling ie a paying customer, consequently, isn't it y/our job to strive to fulfill said customers preferences, wishes and requests (obviously within the normal parameters of politeness and as long as requests are given in an acceptably polite manner) considering they are paying you large sums of money for a luxury service.  Simply asking if you might wear a certain outfit or style of attire is well within the remit of a prostitute charging escort rates, job description and I would have thought, considered absolutely standard part of the overall service.  If a punter 'tells' you what to wear, I'm sure he is not the kind of person you would wish to have as a client anyway, but if, like most 'normal' guys, he simply asks that you be wearing x, y and z, this is nothing to do with you 'never in your life having told a guy what to wear' as I'm assuming you don't mean you have never told a male prostitute you had employed for the hour, what to wear, but men such as your boyfriend or other social UNPAID acquaintances  There is a massive difference between being asked to wear something by someone for no reason and by an individual paying you for services directly related to sex, fantasy, luxury etc and the clothes that make up part of that whole experience.  The view expressed represents the kind of attitude the gives WG's a bad reputation for being blind to the fact that they are supposed to be offering a service not ding the guys that see them a favour!  Why should the guys that pay to see you 'accept you for who you are'?  They don't know who you are and likely have no desire to find out, that's' what they've got girlfriend and wives for.  You on the other hand ARE there to accept the exactly how they come, making the feel great about it in the process.  That the whole point of the job surely?

If clothing requests are not something that the previous poster offers and provided she makes this clear on her site, then no it is not, any more than any other service she does not offer.

I don't go any further than colours of lingerie, stockings and suspenders and suchlike; I would find it objectionable to be asked to wear the sort of get up that I make it clear on my site I find tacky and ugly, so whilst I think Claire didn't word it very well, she is perfectly within her rights not to like it. I would also say there is a difference between being asked something and being told. I also don't take kindly to being told anything.

Maybe you could actually make a useful post about something you've experienced whilst working, rather than making every post an exercise in pedantically picking everything somebody else says to death?

i really dont agree.just because we are selling our time and sexual services, doesnt mean we have to do everything they command or ask..
theres plenty of jobs, where its the person choice how they dress,if the person paying for there service doesnt like it..hire someone else..
sometimes it really aggravates me,the way they command me about and i dont always mind..
but lets say for example,a customer asked you dress in a big condom,or as a duck,or wear a nappy..would you think thats part of the deal..
some girls arnt the stockings and heel types, work or not and prefer, a nice dress or whatever..

If a clients asks me to wear a certain outfit I am happy to oblige but if he tells me to wear one that is a different matter.
I also have a lot of latex and PVC and have stated clearly these items are for bookings of two hours or more as they are an absolute pig to get into on my own and not worth it for a half hour booking.

I still get guys ring up and assume I dont mean it even though I explain why, they still think if they keep on whining at me I will change my mind rather than suddenly remember I am already busy at the time they wanted

This may sound strange but when a guy asks what I'm going to be wearing it actually turns my stomach...

It doesn't bother me depending on which camp he belongs to. If a client has made a booking (meaning he's passed my security procedures so isn't a TW) then I answer his question with "it depends on what you'd like me to wear. Do you have any preferences?" But if he's just making an enquiry (and possibly just after wank fodder) I tend to say "That depends on what you like. If you make a booking I'm happy to take clothing requests". It's easier to ask them what they like than to go through the contents of my wardrobe for them anyway.

It disturbs me deeply when my clients tell me what to wear. I am always well dressed, wearing lingerie and high heels. Its a given. I don't like the tone they take with me, I feel like I'm being ordered around as some sort of put down. Maybe its imagined but I do think its sexist. Thing is you know "it's a given" but they don't, which is probably why they ask to be on the safe side, so try not to take it personally. Do you feel they are ordering you about or do you think they shouldn't even ask? I can understand if it's the former, but if it's the latter, as the customers, I do think they should be able to ask for specific clothes to be worn if they have a preference, assuming you don't say "clothing requests NOT taken" on your website. I'd feel a bit odd if a boyfriend asked me to wear specific items for a date (it's never happened though), but as a service provider I'd expect it. Men often have preferences and IMHO it's a shame if I wasn't dressed to their tastes, especially when you consider the sums of cash involved. Personally I feel sexier if I know I'm dressed to their tastes anyway, whether that's a business suit or jeans and t-shirt, so I prefer to know what they like.

Baffles  me whenever I'm asked "Will you wear something nice?", or "Will you wear something sexy?"

Oh the fun I've had with men who ask these questions LOL. If they say "Will you wear something nice?" I often (if I think they can take a joke) say "Aw, I was hoping to wear something shit". Often when I'm told "wear whatever you like" I've said "great...boiler suit and wellies it is then!" ;-) Regarding "Will you wear something sexy?" I always ask them what their idea of sexy is and remind them that to one man it can mean the porn star look but to another it's more casual and understated. It's so open to interpretation as to be a completely useless question.

One client asked me to wear "whatever you wear when not working"...
I'm not sure what some men think I wear when I'm not working but if they knew the reality they wouldn't make that request, LOL. Waynetta Slob springs to mind!

My personal pet hate is when they ask, "are ya any good" grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr...

I hope one day someone will ask me that so I can say "no, I'm shit. I have no idea what I'm doing and I'm frigid too". All said jokingly of course. I can't imagine anyone asking and being genuine though.

Of course not!  Obviously, I share your view that selling ones time and service in no way equates to one 'having to do everything they command or ask......'  I certainly did not suggest that it would?!

Quote

I don't understand the point of the first part of the sentence.  Nowhere at all did I make reference to anything pertaining to it NOT being the lady's choice.  What I said was that we are the provider of a service so our role is to suit the client (within our own boundaries), rather than the client suiting our preferences.  Again, I absolutely agree.  If the customer 'doesn't like it', quite obviously they should 'hire someone else'.  The point you seem not to be taking into account is the fact that we are the providers of a service and our objective is to acquire, secure clientele but the normal laws of industry, offering a; competitive, attractive, accommodating, customer focused, client driven, flexible, service.  I can't understand what stating the obvious (ie if a client 'don't like it', he can 'hire someone else') has to do with operating a successful, rewarding and solvent business?  That kind of attitude has logical place in affairs of a personal nature, surely NOT within the parameters of a professional service?
This is nothing to do with how reasonable it is for a customer to request or enquire as to a lady wearing something as a special request.

Quote

It is explicit in my post, the acknowledgment of the difference between being asked to do something and being ordered, or 'commanded' I ALWAYS mind the latter; if you 'don't always mind', that is, of course your prerogative, but it was not my view that the two things warrant the same reaction.

Quote
but lets say for example,a customer asked you dress in a big condom,or as a duck,or wear a nappy..would you think thats part of the deal..

I'm not sure I see any credibility in your comparing a punter requesting a specific style or garment, found in millions of women's standard, every day, wardrobes, observed on any day, many shops, anywhere one wishes to look, with that of an unhinged request to dress as a condom, something that is utterly ridiculous, extremely rare and even more unlikely to be found in any individuals wardrobe.  The comparison to a request for a specific colour of stocking to that of dressing as a condom is farcical and without merit.

Quote
some girls arnt the stockings and heel types, work or not and prefer, a nice dress or whatever..

I'm sure this is fact.  Nowhere do I propose anything to the contrary.  Again, I find it slightly odd that the preference of the provider is as, or more, important than that of the paying customer?

A client once asked me to dress 'tarty' so I chose gold lame skin tight leggings, tight top, blingy shoes.

This wasn't his idea of 'tarty' and he was visibly disappointed, yet to another client this would fit his request for the same.

I tend to feel irked when asked what i will be wearing or asked to wear specific outfits tbh.
I know what i want for my bookings and that is a client who wants a person to interact with ,not a body encased in a particular item of clothing.
To meet men that are not interested in me,just my body would ruin my self esteem and i would quickly have to stop escorting.
does that make any sense??

I totally agree with you .... if I am asked what I will be wearing or to wear certain clothes it instantly gets my back up - I don't dress to order but I always dress in something sexy that is comfortable to play in and get off and on easily (a big consideration) with lacy holdups - how long is it on for anyway, just stupid imo.

A guy emailed me recently and asked if I would dress in various uniforms (I don't own any) and parade around for him ..... really got my goat, I emailed back and said ' I am a sensual woman who will give you a wonderful GFE ...I am not a cabaret act  ::)

I don't mind a request for certain clothes but I won't get into a long conversation about what I will be wearing or whether I will wear several different outfits it just screams TW to me especially if they tell me they are making a half hour booking.

Yes,I have it on my profile(which naturally they dont read) that I dont dress to order.
I need to feel sexy in myself. I think men are so short sighted sometimes to think good sex can come from just putting on a costume!!

What annoys me is clients expecting you to be able to wear the clothes from your pictures, or do your look exactly the same, not realising it likely took you hours to doll yourself up for your pics and that you might not have that particular outfit anymore.  I heard of one client who expects girls to put certain make up colours on and Wear particular jewellery. Fair enough for a long booking but a half hour?

Clients who expect nurse, police, schoolgirl outfits to be proper ones instead of novelty Ann summers style. Do they have any idea how much a real police or nurse uniform would cost, baring in mind these outfits arnt asked for often?

I do have stockings these days as punters like them but I hate them and don't think they look good on me, I didn't own one pair the first 2 years I worked and don't have them on any of my pictures so why do guys still ask for them? In general yes I don't like being asked for specific outfits and always ignore clients who request slutty pvc, bodystockings as I don't like that kind of gear.

On the other hand I don't think it's acceptable to not make any effort at all with your dress, I always atleast do my hair and makeup, wear something comfortable, easy to get off and sexy but iv heard of girls answering client in tracksuits with no makeup on and unwashed, unstyled hair. Unless he's asked for that I think it's pretty poor really, I wouldn't dare see a client looking a mess physically.
