I am proud of me!
« on: 14 August 2010, 11:34:11 pm »
Usually I have a huge guilt trip if I turn down an appointment, particularly if I could do with the money - like now, after a long holiday and then having to take a couple of days off sick  ::)

But I have just told a gentleman who is quite clearly in a pub, and says he's been out for a few hours, that "I don't see men who have been drinking, we should leave our appointment for another time." and I don't feel bad about it at all  ;D

He called back, I'd already saved him as 'drunk', so I rejected his call. If he calls back another day, sober, he can see me then.

So it's quiet, at a time when I could really do with it not being, but there are other things for me to be doing, and I'll manage without taking bookings from every Saturday night drunk that calls  :-*

Now, phone is off for the night... glass of wine I think! What? Oh, it's ok for me...  ;)

Good for you! Enjoy your time off (as much as you can if you are ill!)

Brilliant - just imagine how awful that booking could have been. I don't even answer the phone after eight (six if I really can't be bothered) but I still get these ringing late and leaving messages on a Saturday night and I wonder if they realise how intimidating and worrying it is for us to have people turn up clearly pissed.

I'm proud too  :D! Some things are more important than the money anyway.

Thank you ladies  ;D

If I start to doubt myself I shall just think of the beer breath and drunken fumblings - urgh!

Well, if this month is going to be quiet then I'm going to set in motion the plans I've been saving for just such a quiet month... will tell ya if they work out!  8)

Good for you! Enjoy your time off (as much as you can if you are ill!)

Oh, I am fine now  :-*  I just caught a cold after only two days back working, so had to take a couple of days off  - snot is not a good look! Bad timing though  ::)

He came in the morning and woke me up with killer instinct. Wish I could stop this now.
