Male Police Officer/escort on AW sacked
« on: 24 December 2016, 09:25:04 pm »
Have you seen on the internet...male police officer advertising his services on AW was sacked as he was out of line with what his role apparently requires:
pride
integrity
trust of the public

I don't think pride, intergrity and trust of the public are incompatible with being a sex worker but unfortunately the government seem to differ. What I find disturbing is the fact that he was on sick leave working as an escort but getting his full salary (paid with people's taxes of course). For that ONLY he should be fired from the police, definately NOT for doing a payed threesome. It's completely ridiculous. Plus The Sun are a bunch of ass--les for publishing the girlfriends photo because not only she's going to loose her job (whatever that is) but maybe her kids (if she has any) and ostracized in her hometown. Bloody Sun and the Murdoch media always slut shaming women when they are the lowest ot the low. I can't stand those low-lifes of a tabloid.

It's not clear the way it is reported what the main reason was for him being sacked.

I agree with you (he should be sacked for being on sick leave etc etc) but the report made it seem as though being a sex worker was a violation of his role requirements...

I agree if you are claiming benefits or on sick from a job on pay you are setting yourself up for a investigation should someone get wind of your profile on what ever site and rightly so! im dreading my tax bill but no getting out of paying it! I do think the paper is out of order for publishing pics but they are a law unto themselves

I'm wondering who got wind of him being on there and sent a newspaper reporter to masquerade as a client to ensnare him...

How on earth are you a cop and hang your face on AW while on sick leave? That's a another good reason to sack him: He's too dumb to serve the public. The good news for him is he's going to be doing a lot of payed threesomes once he joins civvie life with that Daily mirror CV.

It's plain stupid. only takes a letter or phone call from a disgrunted: a) ex b) nosey neighbour b) jealous friend d) local pimp etc... to loose your benefits and your council flat.

Regardless of what the tabloids would think, just because you qualify to be on sick leave for one job does not make you incapable of doing another.

As well as being one reason why most 'critical illness' insurance policies are crap - to claim, they require you to be incapable of doing any job - it means that someone who is legitimately too unwell to do the work of, say, a police officer may well be physically and mentally able to do something else.

On the other hand, the contract of employment for the police doubtless has Quite A Lot to say about clearing other employment with superiors first, at the very least.

I wonder if he would have got the sack if it were another type of part time work he was engaging in? To supplement his sick pay? Or whether it was sex work in particular that got him the push...

Correct police officers have to declare all business interests, and other employment not to mention having people such as housemates and partners living with checked out and approved (or not).
