I live near so you don’t need to charge the outcall fee.
« on: 28 January 2020, 09:27:45 am »
I have a standard 30 pound charge for outcalls and only do them if quiet.

A guy last night booked an outcall then quoted my incall price to me. I pointed out there was an extra fee to come out. His reply was he was no near I didn’t need to charge extra.

At that point I ended up just conking out and going to sleep.

It has got me wondering if I should charge per distance.
I'm glad I got all the Cynthia Payne books before the prices rocked to sky high.

I get guys that want to pick me up as they think the fee will go down but I wouldn’t allow a stranger to pick me up and I charge £150 for the first hour and in Edinburgh then this is the going rate.

He was just trying to be cheap so keep charging what your charging I think.

This is up to you to decide, I used to offer a 'local' outcalls fee however it's still your time and might depend on other factors. I have also found that the punters who want this, can be also a bit difficult either to make arrangements with or regards other boundaries. I prefer to hold off then offer based on how the client is. Difficult if you are touring unless someone you have seen before.

At the end of the day it's your business.

I usually stick by my outcall rates & taxi fee if they're an hour or next door- even if I walk it...which I usually do. ;)
You could be anywhere in your town or 50 miles away on another outcall when he calls.
I try to be vague about where exactly my ass is, cause he's got no way of knowing unless I blab.

We know the negotiators will probably be a pain up the bum once you get there anyways.

Look at it as extra income for the whole inconvenience of you having to go out in the cold  :)

That's exactly what it is, especially in Atlanta or wherever I tour. It's extremely rare I don't spend 45 minutes one way to the OC, & am rethinking the Uber charge bc of this. $50 just isn't cutting it anymore & I can't sit in a car for 90 minutes to only see the client for an hour.  Of course, "they're always welcome to come to me!"

In the very unusual one off that the guy is close, I just heave a sigh of relief & roll anything under that $50 to the next OC, bc it'll probably go over.

Wait, if he lives so near... why doesn't he come to you?
He wants the convenience, he has to pay for it!
If I wanted Deliveroo to deliver me food from the restaurant next door, I still have to pay the delivery fee.

I once had a bloke email me for an outcall to Manchester, I was based in Leeds and he offered me my local extra outcall fee which was an extra £20 within Leeds. He actually seemed to feel he was being really good by saying "I'm prepared to give you the extra £20 to come to Manchester." Well, that's nice isn't it, that he is "prepared" to pay my advertised rates, how generous! He got a shock though when I told him that was the rate if he lived fairly locally, it would be more like £50 extra if he wanted me to schelp to Manchester and back!  ::)

Sometimes they really do take the P.
I only do outcall but my ad makes it clear that over a certain distance there is a minimum booking.

Anyway this joker today wanted me to come for the regular booking, which would have necessitated me taking a bus, then a train, than another bus than walking ten minutes.

And it was raining today.

Ermmmm, No.
