So I took the plunge this morning and rang an agency in the North West.   However, they asked me for my real name so just gave them my first name.... then they asked me my age (I'm a naughty 40!) however, I thought it best (stupidly to say I was about 35 as I really don't look my age).  However, she then told me that they would need proof of ID anyway - she said she would pass my details on and I just know I blew it!! I am beating myself up - my usual profession was hit big time by the recession and I haven't worked for a couple of years (my boyfriend died) and nothing has gone right since to be honest.  I think I should change my middle name to 'rejection'.      I wanted to start working for an agency first before hopefully going 'indie' but can't seem to catch a break - I don't want to send my photo to the agencies over the internet so hence I phoned - hey I even googled 'have I got a hex  on me?' lol
