Answerphone message last week:

I did speak to him, and he didn't sound anywhere near as bad as he managed to make himself sound in the message. Told him to call me within 10 mins if he wanted a same day appointment, heard no more from him.
Until he sent a lovely text while I was away over the weekend:
Hi sorry got nervous the other day I am in *town* all day and would still like a meet if poss. *Name* xx you are welcome to my full details just a genuine middle aged lonely guy
And 10 mins later:
Hi darlin can you let me know please x
