The thread has actually been inspired by Bindel who has recently enjoyed the spotlight on a YouTube podcast and ridiculed the sw movement aa “just handing out condoms and a cup of tea” and sw activists as “non representative tourists”. There was zero pushback from the hosts and she wasn’t even called out. The public watches this and I am concerned they’ll just swallow this crap at face value and the public approval for the NM will grow. Remember many people also see our jobs as a vice that shouldn’t exist at all to begin with, so for them any way to eliminate it is good. Whores are in the wrong in the first place, so if this NM pushes them to quit and find “real jobs”, then that’s a good outcome isn’t?

I'm not coping with childhood trauma, my childhood was relatively happy. Regarding the human trafficking this happens to exist in most unskilled trades. last year I read in the news that 50 rumanian roma people were being held against their will in some locked shed in the midlands and forced to pick apples for a two pence. It was a big police operation and I'm very very glad we have laws against explotation and human trafficking that set them free. No one, absolutely no one went ballistic against the agricultural industry and threatened with a law that bans people from eating apples. So far we're all eating apples and yes, unfortunately there's still pockets of explotation in agriculture and immigrants locked up in sheds working for a two pence in this country. Which makes me think this nordic model has more to do with whorephobia (on the feminists side) and the good ol control of women by the patriarchy.
