How are you planning to survive January?
« on: 12 November 2012, 05:59:14 pm »
I know it's ages away, but I can't stop thinking about the January drought :-[
All money of the world has been spent on Christmas presents, and pre Christmas fucking, everyone's had enough of 'fun' after christmas parties, dinners, meeting with family and New Year's eve...
Looking at my spreadsheet from January this year, things are not looking up. I did earn decent amount only because of one regular, who booked me 4 times, but he is not around anymore...

What are your plans? Are you going to work really hard in November&December, or have holiday planned for January, or you are normally doing ok in that time?

The first half of January is usually ok (people are still really excited about the new year and sales) but the second half and February are dire. Therefore I plan to save, save, save and hope for the best, maybe throw in a special offer or two for good measure, maybe try and get a tour in at some point before christmas.

February is by far the worst month of the year.  The best time to book a holiday for .............. thats if you get enough money in over the next few months to pay for a holiday.   :(

It is about having a pretty mind, a pretty heart,
And most importantly a beautiful soul.

am I the only one who finds february to be busy? my best ever parlour shift was in a february, where i came home with nearly ?600 / ;D

I actually found December to be the most dead, probably cos of lots of girls coming on the scene to buy xmas presents, and many clients having less money from having to splash on the family, followed by January

Due to this I'm seeing more clients than usual right now to get all the standard crap I need quickly out the way before the dreaded drought kicks in like all animals microchipped, dog spayed, hair done, warm clothes bought, new carpet in exercise room before landlord sees the paint I dropped all over it etc etc

But in general I havnt had any major problems getting clients at any time of the year, I find that times of the month are worst and some weeks are rife with timewasters during any month of the year xxx

As I've said before there always seems to be reason after reason why people say certain times are not busy and yeah I bet some things do have an affect but I have friends who I know are constantly busy even during quiet periods. So there must be clients out there wanting to book them and these girls must be doing something different/right!

Its simple maths really.  There are less clients to go around because a lot of them are watching the pennies in February.  Some girls may still be busy but thats probably due to pure chance, or 'the price is right' kind of thing.

For most of us February is a tough month cos there just ain't enough guys to go round!  But I just kinda accept that (doesn't mean I like it) and if I'm going to do any offers then February is the time I will do them.

I'm sorry but I don't agree. I viewed and spoke with several well respect girls profiles on aw around Jan last year and there bookings still seem extremely consistent and like I said speaking to friends who say the same. It's not just luck but obviously because they are still getting the clients. I honestly think people are too hung up with reasons why it's not busy that are not always the case.

There will always be men out there wanting to book girls whatever month of the year, if it's the school holidays or if there is football on or not. It just depends on who they want to book and I think some girls profiles and/or their prices are more appealing and I would like to know their secret! But I just don't put it down to all these other reasons constantly because this seems to be an ongoing issue not just January. In a few weeks everyone will be saying its so dead because Christmas is coming up and before that it was the football again and before that I can't even remember what the reason was but you get the picture.

From my personal experience it doesn't seem to affect me that much but that's probably due to the limited clients I see anyway. On average I'm seeing between 5-8 clients a week (obviously some of that is 2hour+ bookings and overnights) and that's what I want and what works for me but some girls would see that many in a day and laugh and think that's awful! There have been the odd week that has been extremely dead yes but I don't over think it and just move on to the next week.
