Ok, so I have laryngitis today, had a sore throat yesterday but wasn't working these last few days.  Feel absolutely fine now with the exception of not being able to speak but I have a long job tomorrow where my conversational skills will be needed.  I am so hacked off.

I once lost my voice for over 4 weeks when I worked in a parlour and I could whisper quite hoarsely but you’ll never guess what, the clients all thought my voice sounded husky and sexy as hell and whilst most of the girls in the lounge would talk to the clients, because I couldn’t, then it was me the clients wanted to talk to, what absolute cunts I thought! My boss wouldn’t even let me have time off until my voice recovered but it was definitely an attraction thing from the men anyway! What are some of them like...

Maybe different if your an indie and you need to talk to clients on the phone though...

I hope that you're feeling better, Nadya!  The only things that have helped me are lots of sleep, not talking when possible, not smoking, and lots of herbal tea.

Oh that's so annoying - I lose my voice a lot too and it's really a pain in bookings. I hate it because I can't phone clients to confirm prior to meeting up, which I find quite scary as talking to them on the phone forms part of my safety checks.

Have you tried vocalzone pastilles? They work really well for me. They do taste disgusting though so snogging might be off the cards

Well today my voice is almost normal thank goodness, probably a bit deeper, but doesn't sound alarming.  I should be fine. 

I will keep it all lubricated well today so should help, but I have a meet up with friends  (outside, spread out)  after my client so that will be more challenging to keep my mouth shut.

Annoyed at myself that I managed to give myself a rather angry boob scratch overnight when I was rearranging them (big boob life eh?)  So annoyed, as these are exactly what this client boobed for, the boobage!

Yes my voice IS uber sexy TT, but yeah, hindsight.
The voice wasn't an issue yesterday, but I think the massive boob scratch injury turned him off a bit, but worked out well for me because I left early, huzzah!!!
