Definitely don't machine wash them, and any lingerie in the machine should go into a mesh bag for the purpose.

I buy the plain top stockings from superdrug. They last ages for me and I machine wash them. They are fairly thick though.

I swear by the 'Marilyn' brand of hold ups. They have a stripy band at the top or you can buy lace tops. I only hand wash now too but they last for ages and stay up. I get mine on Amazon for under a fiver x

I’m gutted M&S have stopped selling my favourite lace top  stockings
I’ve been wearing these for years as they were pretty much indestructible and nod I have to find similar ones 😂

I always get M&S lace top holdups and never have issues with them rolling down, good quality too.
Absolutly 100% ..they last a good few sessions
I have short legs so often the stockings go too far up .m& s are just right good firm grip.

I use the hold ups from primark, after paying much dearer from other places I find the one from primark are perfect for and so cheap, £3.50 and they last ages. They are thick so even with long nails I’ve never put a hole in them. They stay up great for me also which many others don’t x

For the Americans on here, I get mine thru Hips & Curves. I wait til Black Friday (3 weeks now!) because they’ll be 1/2 price. I bought 6 pairs nude/6 pairs black last year so I’m set for a while, lol.

Torrid also does stockings, but they’re thick, not sheer (H&C’s are sheer). Had a client absolutely go off on me bc I wore the thicker stockings🙄🙄, which is why I bought the other ones. Jerk.

H&C isn’t cheap, they run about $20 a pair which is why I say to buy on Black Friday. Hopefully this helps someone. The cheaper stockings from Walmart etc simply don’t fit me, I have to get a plus size.
