I have very long, thin legs. I'm devoted to the cheap Tesco holdups.

I know that there have been various threads about where to get good nylons - I have just stocked up at Bondara and they have good stuff at fair prices. They have a fab offer on at the moment with free open crotch tights. I have just got mine and worn them today - much better than hold-ups or suspenders.

Best of both what? Surely the only point of hold ups is that they supposedly don't need a suspender belt? If you attach them to a belt then surely you've just turned them into a pair of stockings with an uncomfortable sticky ridge on the top.

I have never in my life got any hold ups to hold up, including M&S. They are fine as long as I'm not moving. As soon as I start to move, they just unroll. My thighs are fucking massive though.

I use both.  "The best" is that the suspender hides my tummy.  If the stockings are actually pulling down on it, it has to be tight to stay on my waist- which creates its own squish problem. Hold ups stay in place, so no pulling down.  A medium suspender looks best on me, but it takes a small if they have to do any heavy lifting.  :-[

Maybe you're buying stockings too big if they're rolling down.  If you're going larger so they don't press in and make a line, try a size smaller, put them on, warm up the sticky band with a hair dryer and smooth it just right.  Then let them cool and take off.  I do that with mine because my legs aren't big, but they're definitely...soft.  ;D  Oh and wide lace tops are much easier to stretch/smooth this way than the regular bands.  Dunno, may be worth a try.

Given I don’t know how smooth they are [sheer tights] until they’re out the packet I’m after advice on where to get them from, please? Getting multiple requests so makes sense to score some.

Most customers who ask for sheer just mean "not fishnets" so I wouldn't worry especially. I just get mine in whichever supermarket I'm in.

Yep I thought I'd got fatter , I haven't though if anything I'm smaller , I don't wear hold ups , I wear the stockings and they've been great in a medium I'm quite tall.

But I'm a size 10 and I like primark for two pounds their great plus I'm always putting my nails through so I buy all the same so I can match up.

They are much smaller ! I noticed with the last few pairs I bought can't even match them up !

I do have good FF nylons but save them for requests

Yes, this is true! I'm a real titch and fit child sized stuff.
Small sized  Primark hold ups are a really snug fitting, but medium would be too big.

I find they work really well though and  could wear them all day  if I had to.

I use Tesco hold ups a lot. Always find them comfortable and quite long lasting. Always good for run of the mill clients.  I used to use stockings HQ a lot but half the time I want anything off them it always seems to be out of stock. UK tights I'll use too.

For my more refined regulars I will wear an expenisve pair. And occasionally I'll indulge in a little foray to Mayfair Stockings. But like I've said in pervious posts I do have a rather sweet regular who is always buying me expensive pairs so often I'm well stocked! Possibly seeing him next week :)

Think lot of it comes down to having a good belt. Nothing worse when youre wearing a cheap one with flimsy straps and the thing keeps slipping! Arrrgh!

My post was naff so was relocated and edited to include 'sheer'.

Requests don't mention 'sheer' as it goes but for 'soft' as opposed to 'rough' tights.

I can't judge the texture without vandalising the packaging lol. Local supermarket doesn't supply anything less than 15. I'm getting requests for 10, ideally 7.

Suggestions welcome.

Yes, sorry Georgie - I was in a hurry and 'sheer' was the best I could do since the title had gone and packets of tights tend to say that rather than 'smooth' or 'soft'.

I suggest that the timewasting fantasists anybody that picky will never be happy with anything you buy and would be far better bringing their own :).

"Soft" rather than "Rough"? Do they perhaps mean tights <20 denier as opposed to woolly thick ones?

TBH I just say "yes I'll wear black tights", if they want something incredibly specific then they can bloody well bring it, and as Amy says they immediately go into the "probably a TW" category.

I'm assuming he was on about them itching his face as he performs oral through them. They're only going to get destroyed aren't they.   :o So yeah the pedants can bring their own.

Thanks both.

I'm having major problems with my stockings atm. Am lucky if I get more than one wear out of them before they snag. I am not sure if it is the new washing machine shredding them up, or if I am being particularly clumsy. My Primark one have never lasted long, but even my Ann Summers and Debenhams ones are getting absolutely mauled.

Is it the stockings? Or my care of them?

I have never used a washing machine to wash my stockings. Are you able ( willing  ;D ) to handwash and dry them discreetly? x
