As a general rule, unless it's a special request, I don't ever use holdups for that exact reason.  I much prefer a suspender belt or a girdle when it comes to stockings.  Never found a way to keep holdups from rolling down my thighs.

Watching this thread with interest now, always on the hunt for new tips and tricks!

I always have the same problem. I've given up with hold ups, just use suspender, corset or something like that for stockings. They are much more comfortable too.

I have a friend (burlesque performer) with chunky thighs who swears by Ann Summers hold ups and stockings.

I'm lucky and can get away with anything even cheapy primark holdups

Ann summers ones do fit chunky legs but you can really only wear them once or they start to roll down.  I find FF stockings to be the best for my chunky thighs and with a nice belt they look great too.
They wash easily and go straight back into shape once washed which is handy as they do get stretched a bit during the day.

I always buy my stockings from debenhams Jasper Conran sheen lace top. They are comfy, look and feels great and fits my chunky thights just perfectly.  They cost ?7 a pair but are worth the money as they last longest out of all I ever came across.

I find holdups to be a complete pain in the arse.  Occasionally I can wear them for a few hours without the roll down coming into play,  but not a whole working day/night. I'm a curvy girl as well.

Stockings and suspenders every time for me,  and I feel sexy wearing them,  bonus  ;D

Yes when I wear mine they end up rolling down too. You look down and realise one is up and the other half way down your leg... Not sexy!

don't wear any oil or cream on your legs  when you wear stockings  ( talc is best )  the oil /sweat causes them to lose the stickiness and they roll down like   Norah Battey's

The Asda hold-ups are pretty good!

Another tip: don't put them on until the client has just been buzzed in and in the elevator on his way up (or at the last possible minute). Sitting down in them is the worst thing you can do. But if you put them on at the last minute they should be alright.

I'm getting used to using suspenders. I figured out to hook them to the stockings BEFORE putting the belt bit around my waist. Put the stockings on, but hook them up while the belt is still sort of in my lap. Then stand up and fasten. Much easier than trying to reach behind my legs to fasten. And then remove together. Can all be put back on in one go.

I'm going to invest in a six-strap (or eight) belt. I'm so tall that stocking are hard to get up my legs and they sort of pull on the suspenders. More straps should be more comfortable (or so I am given to believe.)

Stockings with the suspender belt are more sturdier.

Im a big girl, I wear ann summers XL which are big both in hold ups and stockings, also ASDA sell a thicker stronger hold up at ?3 each, tho when I went to get some yesterday they didn't have any. If you use them stock up next visit to asda as they may be stopping selling them.
