HELP! First time photo shoot :)
« on: 03 May 2009, 03:42:18 pm »
Hi there, I have had a profile up on AW for a couple of weeks and have decided to get some professional photos done.

I am doing an hours package so need to do my own make up.

Does anyone have any tips for photographic make up as I have heard you have to put quite alot of foundation on so not to look washed out??

Any tips, advice is welcome!

I dont wear any make up at all but have a light tan all over.  The Garnier fake tan is brilliant.  I dont use head shots so no make up required.

The photographer can adjust the tone for you.  Have fun!

If you are going to show face, Fake eyelashes are just fantastic for adding a bit of glamor to the shoot. Loreal has a spray on tan for legs, fantastic for smoothing out the skin. Try to have loads of accessories, boas, fans, stuff. Oh and red lips are so hot. Kisses Violette

I would say that if you are going to wear heavy foundation make sure it is the right colour, or it will look really odd. You could have a trial run at home if you have a normal camera with a self timer _ I keep meaning to do this but never get round to it! I have only ever seen photo shoots on TV (apart from mine, I don't show my face so only really bothered with lippie) but they do always seem to have an incredible amount of make up on which looks totally different in the pics and definitely disappears to some extent. Couldn't your photographer maybe give you any tips?
