Hayfever girls, how y'all coping? Because these once a day pills are not stopping the monster sneezing at all, I SO don't want to do this with a client.
Any advice?

My eyes only hurt at night (why? goodness knows?) but the snot is just...so not appealing. Also I have an itchy throat too, do you get that?
I'm feeling sooooooo sexy today :P

Take one in the morning BEFORE you eat anything and one about an hour before bedtime :).

Some people burn eucalyptus oil to clear out the synuses.

Eating local honey can help, or if it's really bad, try going to your GP for something stronger than a standard antihistamine. Also, put a bit of Vaseline on your nostrils at night (or you can buy specific products) - it stops some of the pollen being inhaled as it sticks to the jelly. And last thing at night and first thing in the morning, maybe middle of the day if you're not wearing any makeup, try those anti-allergy wipes: sweep over your face, neck, hairline and around ears.

One hayfever tab never does it for me. I always take 2 🙈 still alive and never comatose. I'm pretty sure you can now buy fexofenadine from the shelf, try this. Sure it used to be prescription only.

Yes, I noticed this - it's just been launched as Allevia. It's not really any more effective as an antihistamine, but causes less drowsiness.

I've been putting peppermint and eucalyptus oil in my Neom diffuser for bookings which definitely seems to help, although I think the diffuser itself clears some of the crap from the air too. My dentist recommended a new(ish) antihistamine called phenofexidine (and gave me some last week when I turned up a snivelling mess) which seems to do the job - I'm not sure whether that's the one under discussion above but it sounds similar.
I also found keeping the windows shut helps, but it's murder for bookings in the heat. I have aircon but it costs a bloody fortune to run.

The best thing I’ve ever used is the Beconase nasal spray. I can’t seem to handle the tablets anymore but the spray is great.

Yes, I think it's just the spelling - it's fenofexidine, not pheno.

I find Hopi ear candle can help but there is only one person offering this in my local town and she is crap. I take homeopathic if not as I get appalling side effects from conventional hayfever meds.
Touch wood at the minute it is ok.

Try Loratadine (Clarityn). It works well for me and doesn’t make me drowsy. One of my clients who is an airline captain told me that Clarityn is approved to use while flying, which is rare for any medicine, and has been well tested to ensure no drowsiness.
Just take one tab every 24 hours, but only when you need it. All of the hay fever medications will lose effectiveness over time with continuous use, so you can switch to Allevia after a few months, then back.
