Oh, the hagglers. I am not a Stop & Shop!!😡 How they infuriate me. I make a point to speak to everyone on the phone & 1 thing I always, ALWAYS say is, "if anything changes, if you find yourself running late or are unable to make the appointment, it's crucial you let me know."
They get to my hotel room, excuse themselves to wash their hands (so I can count the $$, do they really think I'm not going to?), & there's only $175 in the envelope (30 minutes) not $250/$300 (1 hour).
Client comes out, I ?? them. Client says that's all he had/was able get out of ATM/decided to do.
Me, robotic voice: "That's not what we agreed on."
Client usually begins to stutter at this point.
"Remember what I said on the phone? That if anything changed, you needed to let me know? So you decided to change from an hour to 30 minutes but didn't bother telling me about it? Now if I'm wrong, I completely apologize, but I'm not seeing any missed texts or calls from you."
Client by now is definitely stuttering.😆😆😆
I'm tough, y'all. I'm sick of that, it happens A LOT & I give them a HARD time about it. I set aside an hour for you, not 30 goddamn minutes, & frankly had factored the hour's $$ into my bills, NOT the 1/2 hour😡(assuming they show up of course).
I give them the choice of going to get the extra $$ but that counts as their time with me, or they stay but once they pop it's an immediate kick out -& I'm usually very good about absolutely no rushing & making sure they get their full time.
Or they'll show & say " I could only pull $200 from the ATM,sorry." How stupid do they think we are?🤷🏼♀️ I say well, that's no problem at all, let's get started! Again, the second they pop, I'm gathering up their clothes & ushering them out.
I've had a cpl say, "Ummm excuse me but I paid for an hour?"
No sir, you did not. You shorted ME, therefore you are getting the same treatment. You might consider that the next time you try this. You might also remember this:
This is a large industry, but a small community & word gets around very quickly. The hobbyists have their websites, we providers have ours. Food for thought, SIR *glare*.
