No, the ash (from a volcano that erupted under a glacier in Iceland) is too small and too high up to have any effect on the ground. It's more or less invisible but might have affected aircraft engines, hence the recent ban on flying.
You can see some somewhat grubby cars, for example, but that's not necessarily connected. Having said that, over recent years, there have been a couple of times when they've been noticeably sandy and that was apparently down to sand being carried by high altitude winds from the Sahara...
