I recently decided to give up escorting as it was mainly a side gig for me and I’d been doing to for a little over a year before Covid threw a spanner in the works.

The reason I have decided to retire temporarily or even perhaps permanently is a result of how difficult Covid has made working conditions for me. As I don’t have my own flat for incalls I relied on hotels and serviced apartments in the past. My preference was always towards hotels as they’re generally half the price of a serviced apartment in some cases.

Hotels have completely changed their dynamic in my city and it’s become next to impossible to have visitors over who are not patrons of the hotel. Some hotels I’ve used on the past now have a system whereby the front door is locked at all times and you need to ring a bell for reception to allow you in.

Also, their has been a massive increase in Timewasters, slower business than usual and clients becoming more demanding as they now feel most sex workers are in a vulnerable position and want to take advantage.

All of these are reasons I’ve decided I won’t be returning to escorting this year at least simply because the change in working conditions is just too much for me and it’s just not something I could be bothered with trying to get around.

I’ve retired from escorting now to focus on online work only. COVID isn’t the reason why I’ve decided to retire, but it is the reason why I’ve chosen this moment in time to do so.

I had hoped to delay it a bit and work for a couple of months now that lockdown is easing, hopefully making the most of those who’ve abstained and dying to get back to booking, but it didn’t work out like that unfortunately. I worked one shift where the one client I did see was disrespectful, the other two I had booked in (including a regular) didn’t turn up. With that combined with the hotel situation and safety precautions in general, it was the right time for me to give up on physical meets.

I am going to try and stick to online stuff ie cam only fans and non sw stuff, pissed off because I loved going off with my case and touring but now with the hotel situation it's just a bit to hard  .

I've not retired, but I'm not expecting to do more than a handful of bookings for the rest of the year, if that, due to lockdown/isolating, my civvy job being really busy (which I'm grateful for), and a lack of decent enquiries.

Emma stone so sorry to hear you and your children get abused in the street. Sounds like you need to move and get away from that negative energy. Some people are so horrible.

I think there will always be money found for this hobby and even though some people are losing there jobs and businesses i still no plenty of men that have plenty of work too more then they thought they would have but i still think depends on your area though. I still think London will be struggling as a lot of the commuters are still not back.

I personally feel a bit confused and trying to figure out the next step. I've always done well in the industry, have lived well and managed to save a decent amount of money every month. That hasn't been happening in the last few months, fortunately I'm not suffering any hardships (crosses fingers) but I'm not saving money either, I'm just "getting by and paying my bills", but then so are 90% of the businesses in my area. The coffee shop around the corner is selling a third of the coffees, same with the pubs who are barely covering the rent and had to fire half of the staff, meaning; I'm definately not the only one "hurting". Should I just pack my stuff and do something else when jobs are scarce and everyone is hurting? Or should I try to get through this and wait till things get better? I believe there's so many people asking the same question right now. Find a part time occupation to keep my mind distracted to stop it from ruminating and get some extra cashThat would mean lessening my bookings and I'm not sure it will compensate financially. Again: I'm in crossroads right now trying to figure out stuff. i wish I had solid answers but I don't.

Personally I'm very happy and consider myself fortunate to be 'getting by and paying my bills' at the moment considering how many people are struggling to do either, regardless of their occupation.

I can tick over just fine for the time being - I've managed to put a few month's rent away since I got back as backup, and whilst I definitely can't replace the savings I burned through when I was off, I wouldn't expect to until everything settles down. But I'm not particularly money-driven and my primary reason for working is the free time my job affords me, so stopping wouldn't even cross my mind although I know that's easy to say when you have a nice steady income and relatively few outgoings .
