Escorting, money, Chanel and disasters......
« on: 17 June 2013, 11:11:44 am »
With the hourly rate of escorting, people will do their own math and come up with massive figures which are exaggerated. However, we do make a lot of money and there's no denying that. I only work a few times a week and earn a hefty sum.

Anyway my question is, do any of you buy designer gear? I'll admit that I have a couple of Chanel pieces but I NEVER wear any of it unless I'm out of town. The reason being that nobody knows I'm
An escort and if I started swanning around in Chanel then those that know me will be extremely suspicious all though they know about my Chanel bag i bought from before Eacorting butthey knew i was doing really well at the time with the business. I do have my own business but since I started escorting I have neglected it and have not been really earning from it. Mind you, I bought my Chanel bag before I was an escort but I'm horrendous with money. The money spent on clothes whilst being an ecort was not even slightly needed but I felt like I worked hard for it, slept with people I really didn't desire to and told myself I deserve a treat. I was close to a Chanel shop at the time so blew weeks worth of money in there. I wish I hadn't, it especially since I only got a few items and not particularly amazing ones at that. I wanted to know how it felt like wearing Chanel and whilst it feels a lot better than wearing Primark it's not worth the money it cost. I've been stupid with my money and it wasn't like that money was spare, it was all I bloody had.

Now I need your advice girls. Chanel won't take the clothes back but I could sell them on eBay but here's my dilemma. If I sold them now they won't go for much a they're still purchable I believe. In the high fashion world it doesn't take long after clothes aren't purchable for them to evoke somewhat vintage and quite often sell for more than the original price. Do I sell them now and make a decent bit of money but not what they're worth or wait a few years and use them as investment? I don't want to sell my bag as I've had that for two years and i can actually wear that around family and friends lol.

I have learnt my lesson, I was a young girl with lot of money which quite often leads to a disaster but now all the money I make goes into moving into a new house and savings.

Try vintage shops if you like designer gear. You can find amazing shoes, cothes and bags for a fraction of the price. Something that cost ?500 you could get for ?80.
Vintage is a nicer word for not new/used but some of the pieces you can get are absolute gems. Theres a shop near me and I cant wait to save up some money and get some beautifully tailored clothes.
I couldn't spend hundreds on a bag, I never caught onto that trend I just don't get it. 800 on a handbag? Id rather put it in the bank account and look at it from time to time and smile.

Chanel you have missed the point of the post.  The OP is wanting to SELL her stuff and buy more. :(
Beauty is nothing to do with having a pretty face.
It is about having a pretty mind, a pretty heart,
And most importantly a beautiful soul.

I realise the link to sex work here is tenuous at best, but can we please try to stick to it? This isn't a clothing/shopping forum, and there are plenty of those already.

I did think to myself when I started I'll buy myself a Chanel or Prada handbag with my money and I couldn't wait to go crazy with my money. But no I don't own any designer clothes I stopped myself at the point of buying something for so much money. I do enjoy to spend quite a bit of money on clothes from Miss Selfridge, Jane Norman and some 50's style dresses and shoes but now I prefer to save my money for travelling.
I have savings as well just in case something happens.
I don't think your wrong to buy designer items with your money but now its sound like you regret it so hopefully saving your money will make you smile and be more happier :)

i do think there is a moral to this story though.

i must admit that i am very generous and frivolous with my cash. after 6 yrs in the game i dont have much to show for it  :-[

designer bags will not bring security, happiness, peace or popularity. a nest egg will always make me feel better than a new pair of shoes.

this job will not last forever in any case so save, dont spend!
