I've been growing my hair for a year too, but my hair is very fine, so bought a 3/4 hair piece and a ponytail.  I've not worn them for work yet, but when I was at a fetish event recently I wore my ponytail and had some fun with another girl.  Even though it was securely fastened in, she still managed to pull it off, which made me think that either hair pieces may not be suitable for work, especially (as I've mentioned before) if clients like to run their fingers through my hair.  Shame as I love the different looks they give me.

I've now done four bookings wearing a wig. The first one I decided that the wig wasn't working for me, but I have several wigs and I tried a different one. It worked OK but I felt uneasy and unsure.

When I had my own long hair it wasn't uncommon for a client to accidentally pin me with an elbow on my hair. So I want to avoid that happening. I am sticking to shoulder-length wigs.

The rolling around bit is the part that worries me. I feel much more constrained. I need to figure out ways to pin the thing securely to my head. Right now I have a stocking cap to keep the hair around my temples under the wig (I have a short bob that swings forward at the jawline). I think the stocking cap makes for more heat and greater slippage. I'm going to try a thin elastic hair band, instead - it's really only the bit around the ears that needs holding back.

I'm not sure how to hold the wig on, other than the elastic band inside the thing.

Fabulosity , you can buy the little clips that hold clip in hair extentions in , separately about 20p each they have holes on each end that a needle fits through and you can sew then on the forehead / front part of wig underneath and also at the sides and nape , you need about six and as you slide wig on the grip your real hair tight then do the same with sides and back , I did it when I had a few little bald spots from alopecia ....it won't budge even if someone tugged it or your in a hurricane and they can't be seen at all  ;) xx

I saw those on Amazon... I suppose I could try sewing some into my wig. I'm sure they sell them at the same place I bought the wig.

In the meantime, I'm making do with criss-crossed bobby pins.

Honestly they're great just get the ones that are an inch big , you can always back comb you hair a little bit where your going to put them that'll give them a bit more to grip on to :) x

Sewed a few extension clips on to my halo extension.
They are better than Bobby pins x

I'm not getting on with the sewn in comb/clips. Not sure what I am doing wrong. However, two criss-crossed bobby pins at each temple seems to do the trick. I think I may try to put one clip at the nape of the neck to stop it feeling like it's riding up. But the bobby pins are sufficient to hold it on my head.

The clients don't seem to mind! I saw a regular this morning and he just thought I'd styled my hair differently.

And I'm getting used to wearing the thing. It's less itchy and hot than it was. As I grow more confident about it, I guess I just think about it less.

If this hotel had a shower with a detachable hose I'd even be comfortable keeping it on for showers between bookings. But I have to get under the shower. I didn't bring a shower cap but the thought of adding that to my head in a steamy shower isn't appealing.

Hey ladies

Didn't know where to put this I always have 22 inch long hair extensions but last week I took them out to give my hair a break because my hair dresser advised me to do so . My hair I feel is short and hasn't got the length and fullness I like so I feel uncomfortable working with out extensions plus in my photos I have long hair so I don't want guys moaning at me so I was thinking bout buying a wig and using it for a month while my extensions are out ? I'm also worried if a wig would stay on ha I don't know what to do wasn't planning on working January but I'm going to go tour next week and just wondering what I shall do buy a wig or meet withy natural hair . I have no picture with short hair I can put on my profile .

I have wigs which I use for camming but there's no way one would stay on during a booking, not unless the guy just wanted massage and hand relief.

I would just take a couple of snaps on your phone and upload them to your profile. Or you could just say to people booking "In my photos I have long hair but I have had it cut recently and it's now shoulder length (or whatever), is that a problem?"
And me, I am not a mess, I am a wilderness, yes

I found that wigs made my head itch and I couldn't get ones to look natural.
I wear the half head wigs for work and I've never had any problems. I make sure they're pinned in firmly and I don't allow clients to touch my face and head so I don't have the problem of them running their fingers through my hair. I have really fine hair so hair pieces are a godsend for me.
