Is it Just Me Who Feels Smug?
« on: 30 June 2021, 04:09:10 pm »
When you block an annoying semi regular who pesters for attention and then spits out his dummy when you don't behave like they want you to.

I nearly called time on him last year but didn't because he apologised, but now he wants to mess about again.

He is in his 80's and saw me no problem at the height of the pandemic without any vaccines. Now he arranges a booking this week and asks whether I've had the jabs and I reply honestly saying just the one. He then immediately cancels and instead of replying and begging him to change his mind etc, I block him instead.

He then rings me this morning, twice. Any sound minded person would have just left it. He cancelled after all!

I've definitely had the last laugh. Makes my skin crawl anyway  :-X

I hate it when they book, behave perfectly the first booking-great comms', give plenty of notice, all goes well..and then the following time? They suddenly become timewasting morons!
Going AWOL or ghosting me during arrangements, getting 'called into work' (10am Sunday and they are a Bank Clerk for example  🙄)

No idea why some of them become such Dicks, but it's fun to send them to my block pile and watch their unsuccessful attempts to contact me again pile up  >:D (my app gives a little red number at  side of their name)

One chap is languishing on 32. He royally messed me around for weeks after visiting him twice (once claiming he had fallen asleep in the middle of the afternoon and in the space of him asking for a visit and my immediate reply)

Very childish, but satisfying  ;)

I fucking hate when someone who books before becomes a pain too. I had one man call me to do an out all for 300 pounds before and as he had paid quite a big fee for the outcall the first time, the second time he contacted me and started ducking about I was understanding as I thought he might be telling the truth when he cancelled last minute. Unfortunately this went on several other times before I blocked him and he contacted me on another number to call me a bitch and say I booked you 4 times and that’s how you repay me with a block. I said no love you booked me once please get your head tested.

It is disappointing to be messed around on subsequent bookings, particularly if you've been asked to give benefit of the doubt for newbie nerves or similar.

Smug no, just naffed off at false promises and lack of regard.

I've stopped seeing the "oldies" they are the worse age group for being full of self entitlement.

Exactly! Didn't even question it when he asked for a booking. It was like his get out clause  ::) He wanted a booking a month or so ago but changed his mind before I could get back to him, saying something had come up.

Certainly won't be seeing him again.
