So what happens now OP? You have his fee in your bank but you don't know if hes going to do a chargeback weeks down the line after hes had his session so how does that work?

I agree with the others about not using paypal for this type of business and the sender can claim the money back up to 3 months after if goods haven't been received or services not completed.

But at the end of the day if he does turn up for his appointment next week, Lois gets the money off him first, does the service then he goes. If he does choose to not turn up and claim his money back via paypal, nothing is lost apart from time wasted, if you know what I mean? He wouldn't have had a free service, just inconvenience on both sides.
Ah I read this wrong, I was thinking he was pre booking his next session via paypal to show he was genuine not reimbursing her for a previous cancelled booking...My bad, my new mantra never rush read a post.

I never ever use paypal usually - this is a first. The payment was for cancelled bookings. Next weeks booking is cash before service - simple as  ;D

Refund his money. Or tell him that you'll see him after 90 days.

Refund? No chance!!! it was for cancelled appointments.... any actual appointments with him in the future will be business as usual - money first, so he's getting nothing back voluntarily on my part. Like I said, if he claims it through paypal, so be it - no big loss to me as I've not yet spent any time with him  ;D

You deserve every penny of that money for him time wasting, sounds like he paid you the 'compensation' in an effort to make himself look good, if he now goes and claims it back he's proved what a twat he is ;-)

Thank you my darling - I think so too  :-* I think we are all guilty of reading stuff too fast and replying in haste, so no big deal xx
