Punter contacted me on social media, and now I feel violated

Hey lovelies.

I received a message on fb messenger from a client that I saw many years ago, and it's made me feel a bit violated. I don't mind people contacting me through AW and other punting sites, but for someone to seek me out on facebook and actually find me? I feel a bit shaken up. The idiot has his wife and everything on his page, so I can't help but think he clearly isn't being very clever about things. I'm just really annoyed that he's chosen to violate my private life. I have my family and friends on there, so I feel bloody anxious. Am I overreacting?  :'(

You are not over reacting, if someone steps over like this I do draw the line quite clearly - either block and ignore or tell them they are out of order.

That happened to me. A client messaged me in Insta last year. I just denied it was me and blocked him. They love to shit us up.

A client once tracked me down on Facebook and sent me a message which I ignored. He then messaged my sister to say he was a friend of mine and was worried I hadn’t been in touch for a while. My sister was really suspicious with me about it as this guy was twice my age and not the sort of person I would be friends with.
I was absolutely bloody furious with him and now don’t have Facebook as can’t be bothered with the paranoia. My Instagram page is very secure so it would be difficult for him to find me on that.
What the hell goes through these men’s heads that they think that sort of behaviour is acceptable?!

This happened to me a couple of years ago with an ex client. At first I was furious but he said I came up as a friend suggestion on Facebook and thought I wanted to contact him. Someone said maybe my number is linked with Facebook and that's how it might have happened.

He was very apologetic and we exchanged messages and all cool and he is not the type to do anything out of order. Not heard anything since.

Another ex client who I let get too close to me somehow contacted my friend on Facebook who is a n escort too asking if I was ok and was worried about me. He said she came up as a friend suggestion but not sure how this happened as he never had her number and didn't know her real name.
