For some reason some people think that texting is polite, and non-intrusive. Yes it can be, but if I need to speak,  sending a text adds in an extra step. If they are outside I'll just phone them.

yes that;s fine and all but i just want to know why they still do it when I specifically ask them to call? I tel them to call me when they are outside but yet they text. I don't get it. I am not always with phone in hand so if I do hear a text come through and I'm not with my phone I wouldn't run to read it as I would assume it's a new client and there is no point in doing the whole "please call me to arrange appointment thing" as I know I am expecting someone else to call me to let me know when he is outside. disobeying instructions is so not polite  :-[ I know they probably don't mean anything by it but it doesn't hurt to use their brain sometimes.

I do the same, and I really do not know.

I've turned guys away for such little things, but I can afford to, and this isn't a full time job for me so I can be extra picky. Little things like spelling and persistent emailing will make me block them. Or the ones that call every night at 2am asking get a booking and say how genuine they are, when I state clearly on my profile my working times.

It baffles me how many can't read a profile for 2 mins, you'd think with the amount of money they're paying us they would want to read the profile or take your instructions properly!

Well a lot of people just seem to feel they are paying you so they can do whatever they want since the customer is always right or whatever that British mantra is they feel providers also have to follow. 99.9% of the time they are not right they are just an idiot.
