My website has been put back a month! I am desperate now to start work, all geared up mentally, physically and with supplies! Can anyone advise where I can get some work as an indie without a website?
I am totally broke, having just paid out on said website, and man, does it look LUSH! I can't wait to go live (and to share my site with you, I must admit, I can't wait to show it off!) ;D
I am unable to cam as have two teens at home at various times during the day and night! Talk about stuck between a rock and a hard place!
Ideas, please, ladies!

Most girls have an adultwork profile as well as their website, so it's worth spending a bit of time knocking one up. Word of warning - clients can subscribe to a list that tells them when a new profile pops up, so get ready to sift through some crap in the first week or so!

Adultwork will give you a good headstart on learning how to weed out and deal with the twats and undesirables and how to spot the genuine lovely ones, and all for free :)

If you have to wait a whole month for your new site (what are they doing with it?!) then it might be worth getting a free Moonfruit site just for the interim since having your own site where you can write what you want/need without having to follow all the rules of AW's dictatorship is so handy. Not that AW isn't valuable in its way, of course, but nobody who makes escort directory sites seems interested in setting things up to be easiest for us! Having your own site means availability calendars, blogs (that you can write *anything* in), Twitter feed links, etc etc. It's a handy place to amalgamate everything and really communicate your own personality/uniqueness.
So, yes. Although I think free site builders create inferior results on both the technical and the design sides, if you have a proper site on its way then it wouldn't hurt to have a rummage on Moonfruit or similar just to get yourself a web presence set up sooner rather than later. :)

many thanks for your information and advice, had chat with webdesigner and site is all ready to go! Once live, he will do the links and banner exchanges, so its all good!
Am I being a complete techno-phobe or is AW an extremely badly designed site?

I've done a bit more on my AW profile, its been up there since January. Got over 1500 views and not a SINGLE booking. Where am I going wrong? Would anyone be kind enough to proof read my profile on there and give me some pointers, please?
I am verifying my profile tomorrow when I can get the bloody house to myself (teens at home!) and am going to top up my pre-paid card so that I can buy credits - I'm a bit paranoid about using my regular debit card to do this!
I think I am offering a good range of services and at reasonable rates. Any feedback would be much appreciated.

A few more photos would probably be good. It is useful to have a gallery as well rather than just the thumbnail-style ones.
The thing that seemed to make a big difference for me was expanding my profile and giving more information about who I am. Like, interests and so on. Also, you can always go into more detail about your services in a sensual sort of way. For example, in your like you have BDSM but don't really go into it in your profile.

When starting out on AW it all takes time. I had over 400 emails to weed through and to be honest most if not all were timewasters of the highest kind but I got there in the end.
Perseverence and patience are two things you have to have - oh and the ability to 'copy and paste' to save a lot of time. ;D

LadyLust, its the same in my other evening job, girls booking and then cancelling at short notice so I can't get another booking! Grrrr. Thanks for the encouragement though! xx
