personaly i feel that facebook is far too intrusive, people looking for escorts to book look at aw or personal sites/ agencys too book...
I just feel that being on facebook is far too intrusive I would worry about being found by friends/family by accident.

My big worry is that it might draw clients attention to my real life facebook. I have a lot of the same photos on there so I'd be recognisable. Facebook likes to recommend people you should be friends with - not always people who are mutual friends, either. I like the idea of having a Krystal Champagne facebook, not necessarily for bookings, just for any clients or other escorts who wanted to keep in touch, but I don't think it would be the best plan.
Previously known as Krystal Champagne

Facebook is not compatible with this industry. FULL STOP. How is any client going to register and have you pour over his personal details?not to mentione other members seeing them on your profile.Huh?

I've actually had a few suggest FB as a communication medium, after they have already admitted to being married, require utmost discretion etc.

How idiotic ::)

I know a girl who was stupid an enough to post the same pictures on her Facebook as her AW account. Use her Myspace name as her first AW name (she has since changed her name constantly to emphaise that she is a "goth" escort.) and clients have found this information and mocked her greatly for it. I made my Facebook private, my AW pictures don't show my face and change most of my information about me. The only thing true about me is my love for music.

Facebook is a scary application. It's fun at times but it's scary as well. I have found 4 of my clients coz they gave me their full name when requesting a booking and I am terrified that they will search my escort name and find my brother's ex girlfriend. (I used her name when I started coz it sounds lovely). So, she'll be harressed instead.

Facebook is what George Orwell had in mind with his 1984.

I agree that FB isnt a good place to have a presence as an escort, I made a myspace page when I worked
as a domme, and really felt that it was simply giving all the timewasting/wannabe crowd free access and cheap
thrills checking out my blog n photos when they never had any intention of booking me for real.

Facebook would give clients too much chances to know too much about you, and people who you'd rather
were kept strictly separate to your day to day persona.
Being a good girl from now on.

I don't use any of these sites and am always amazed at how much information people put on them, especially that which they use elsewhere too.

A while ago a girl appeared on Adultwork in my town using a distinctive nick which I Googled out of curiosity because I liked it, and wondered if it was a film character or something. In less than a minute I had her MySpace page with her full legal name and that of her sister, pictures of her and her family and shortly afterwards thanks to 192.com I had hers and her mum's home address - I emailed her to warn her and she was horrified and had no idea (she vanished within 24 hours and never reappeared, and I don't think she really understood what the site was). If I could do it, anybody could - punter, neighbour, workmate or whatever, and I can't imagine she's the only one to ever do it.

I've considered doing the same (not a Krystal Champagne one, that would be silly  ;D), but decided it would be more trouble than it was worth - how many guys are open enough to have escorts on their friends list? how many bother setting up a seperate punting / escorting Facebook profile? I imagine it would end up like my Foursquare, where my only contacts are another escort and a few people from overseas, ie not potential clients!

I like Twitter for keeping in touch with other ladies. There are plenty of gentlemen following me too, and at least one lives in the same city!

You can use facebook, to keep in touch with other escorts, join escort website groups. I wouldn't recommend using it to keep in touch with clients as they might just be time wasters who just like to chat and collect photos.

And of course why would clients want to see each other? Some might recognise each other if from similar areas.
