Couple of months ago actually. A sports personality. He emailed me from his personal email account, mind you Ive never heard of him as I dont follow sports. So I googled him and came up with that info. I thought at first it was his namesake, but when he actually turned up it was the guy himself as has a very distinctive look..

Not really related to the topic but I feel desperately sorry for the Lord's wife and children as his wife is being hounded by the media I gather and I'm disgusted at how these workers secretly filmed him and shopped him.  It's the sort of thing that adds stigma to our industry but fortunately these types are in the minority. 

As has been said before, I think it highly unlikely for anyone with any sense to even remotely suggest at having met a famous person whilst working.

Mind you, I've met lots of Walter Mitty's !  Do they count ?  LOL

I don't agree with those prostitutes setting that guy up. Thought it was such a nasty thing to do.

Yes, I have seen one famous person - saw him twice. He turned up looking just as he did in the papers (this was a while ago), and I thought it was someone wanting me to think it was this person. I said to him "Oh you look just like ....." He smiled shyly and asked what I thought of this guy. I said I thought he was awful what he did to such and such a person. He said "well theres always two sides to a story".  I always kept myself to myself, but this man from a local brothel rang me and asked if Id seen this guy. I said I had seen someone pretending to be him. He tried to convince me it was the real person (from what I have seen, they usually give a fake name but the name usually starts with the first letter of their real name) and wanted me to do a story with them on him. I said no. Then it was splashed all over the sunday papers a few months later.

If I'd have known it was this guy, I would have told him to bog off.

I had a caller say he was "someone famous" but I thought he was a time wasters and went on so much I didn't send out my address details , probably a fantasist

Yes and that vote was 6 years ago, he may have changed his views since then.

Tragically yes I have, but only because I seem to be a magnet for Z list celebrities - I've had an embarrassing number of them over the years!!

I realise we are not supposed to give identifying details, in order to protect the identity of the client... but in my case it's to spare my own shame more than theirs.

I was sent an outcall job from an agency and they gave me the clients full name beforehand. I recognised it as a kids tv presenter from when I was young. Was very excited as I used to like his show and he seemed nice, and was pretty sure it'd be him because his name wasn't a common one, so it'd had to have been a massive coincidence that someone else had the exact same name. But on my way the agency text me and said they'd got the first name wrong  wasn't him after all
