« on: 16 May 2013, 09:22:21 pm »
I've just got it on my chin after long kissing session. It's sore and it looks like I'll get a scab again :(
What's the best way to get rid of it?

I used to suffer a lot from this, now I just avoid stubbly guys, they just aint worth the bother.

Maybe some sort of aloe vera will help, with me I tried everything and it was a nightmare.  I never found anything worthwhile so simpy stopped.
Beauty is nothing to do with having a pretty face.
It is about having a pretty mind, a pretty heart,
And most importantly a beautiful soul.

Make an excuse up with stubbly men.  Or get them to shave before having fun, with a disposable razor in the bathroom especially for stubbles.

For me Dettol antiseptic cream does the trick gosh I can't stand stubble it feels terrible and the end result on you is worse.

I wish I knew as I have a large one on my lip, it literally tore the skin off so now cannot work until it has completely cleared up.  It bloody hurts as well and everytime I move my mouth it opens up.  I did ask the chemist after explaining for the 30th time it was not a cold sore as he kept trying to get me to buy coldsore cream.
I aksed about sudocreme but was told I need something to dry it up as shaving rash tends to be a wet sore, so I am now using witch hazel and OMG it stings

Interesting your chemist has said that, as I was told the opposite by my chemist.  Maybe buy a small tub and see how you go, or maybe get some Savlon creme instead as either one won't sting like hell when you put it on (not unless you're allergic to the ingredience of course). xx

Hi

Foreign affairs - my man has that kind of stubble that can wreck your face, even if he has just shaved, making sure my face is moisturised helps massively as it does not chaff, your skin slides as such. i am in the sudeocrem camp for any issues after, that stuff is magic.

Dani - That confuses me a little, even though it seems half logical. I normally have a few weeks a year where the wind gets to my lips and I get bad chapped lips. I then have this rough habit of absent-mindedly chewing the little flaky buts when concentration on something. Well this year i was absent-mindedly chewing away and I pulled a massive layer of skin off, it was raw and to the extent that eating was not worth the bother. Went into boots to the pharmacy and the lady took me around to the Chapsticks and suggested the blue one which is medicated and about ?1. Needless to say I thought it would be useless but tried it anyway. After days of it getting worse and worse, within 24 hours of using it every time it dispersed, it was fine, a little red looking, but fine. if the witch hazel is painful maybe try the medicated blue chapstick (kinda of bluey aqua packaging).

I have the chapstick as I am never without one..  I use it about 20 times a day on a normal day without a sore.  The witch hazel is clearing it up and it is not weeping anymore thankfully but it is still very sore.

If someone has harsh, rough stubble I will explain I can't kiss them as hard or intensely. It's also important to let a client know if he's pushing stubble into you during oral, they are usually very understanding when I explain it's like having your bits sandpapered.
