Title: Eating between clients
Post by: SweetAngel on 09 March 2017, 11:57:59 pm
Ive notice that when I work i dont eat until late night because I cant imagine eating minimum 2hrs before client. I dont want to be heavy and look bloated but thanks to that i end up over exhausted,  hungry and nervous around middnight.

Do you eat between your bookings?

All the time lol. Sometimes I'm wolfing down a meal 10 minutes before one arrives.

I couldn't meet a client if I was hungry and irritated! Instead of having whole meals why not try having 6 small meals a day between clients? You can prepare them beforehand and keep them in a tupperware in the fridge. My go-to mini meals are vegetable turkey ham sandwiches with gluten-free bread and oatmeal with fruits. Nuts and crackers with almond butter are good too. Or you could always just eat normally and wear something that hides your tummy during the booking?

Yes, have something like a banana, handful of nuts, slice of toast, piece of cheese etc. Make sure you have a decent breakfast before your first appointment, too.

I have no problems eating before and need to otherwise would have no energy. Also nothing worse than having your stomach rumble during a booking.

Why would you be bloated after eating? Obviously I don't mean a 6 course banquet  ;D but you shouldn't be experiencing bloating after meals unless you've got some food sensitivities.

Not being able to cook is actually the worst part of touring for me. When I'm at home I tend to batch cook and then divide into small portions, so I can quickly heat something up between bookings. When I'm touring I tend to go for nuts, protein bars, and Itsu noodle pots. (The latter are divine. I love touring London because there's usually an Itsu in walking distance!)

I only see 1 client per day, I eat when I need to eat full stop and when I was incall with more than 1 client per day I did exactly the same. If I get hungry my energy levels dive, and it's just not good not to mention I'll then be at risk of overeating (I have binge eating tendencies, so need to eat regularly to control that).

I drink smoothies and eat bananas between clients, these seem to give me energy without bloating, then i look forward to my main meal to relax and enjoy when im finshed.

VC i think its mostly psychological but also ive did too many unhealthy diets and been starving for long periods so my stomach bloats after food as I usually tend to eat very rarely.

If you're not eating all day and then having one massive meal, then yes I'd imagine it does!

I simply cannot go all day without food, I become very light-headed and irritable.

Nor can I - if my blood sugar drops I feel terrible and me when hangry isn't fun for punters :D.

I have bananas, peanut butter on toast or crackers, avocado, sushi, crabsticks, boiled eggs, cheese and fruit. Also supernoodles, snickers, pringles... ;D

I'd fart like a trouper with my IBS.

Well I hardly ever don't have them all at once :D

That might indeed be my problem. Rofl!

I forget to eat sometimes and then just stuff my face. The end result is never pretty. VC recommended Itzu noodles but one wasn't enough so I had 2. Big mistake  ;D

I can relate to this.  If I eat hot food less than an hour before a meet I fart like a trooper very loudly and very smelly.

So I only eat cold food, cold roast chicken mix with green salad.  Berries and other fruits.  Crackers and cheese, cold boiled eggs with salad.  I tend to stay away from nuts as they seem to bring on cold sores for me (weird).

I have to eat between clients, otherwise I feel dizzy and have no energy - like others have said

I eat cereal with milk, sandwiches and fruit, as these are quick meals, reasonably healthy and I can digest them easily. I stick to tea, coffee, water and juice when I'm working - no alcohol. On my days off I eat proper substantial meals, and have 1 or 2 alcoholic bevvies :)

+1 haha!

I rent an appt where I do incalls miles from my home so I only have drinks in the fridge. Sometimes I will order take away at a specific time but its really tricky coz all of my bookings are same day/last min bookings so more often then not I survive of fizzy drinks to keep my energy levels up then scoff my face when I get back home LOL

I like to have a treat meal after my bookings are over for the night....something delicious and filling that I've fancied all day!! (often fast food).

But until that point in the day I treat food as fuel.... I have bananas, nuts, dairylea triangles or turkey slices all day long between bookings. This sort of food keeps my energy up but doesn't give me a heavy feeling tummy. However, once I've met my target then it's off for a big fat dinner I go as a reward  ;D  ;D x

I have a slice of soreen fruit loaf as a quick snack. I find it really boosts my sugar levels and keeps me going in between clients

I am a fan of this too but it is a marmite type of snack, some people hate it.  I like it without butter too just by itself. This and a low fat yoghurt between bookings or before one if I am hungry. Sometimes a very tiny bowl of porridge done in the microwave oven. A mug of tea with a plain biccy can do the trick too and stop hunger pangs.

Of course it is vile if you hate them. I find lots of things vile but others love them.  I love Soreen little snack size loaves so much I never run out of them and keep a good stock of them.  They do stick in between the teeth though and the brown look is not good so a good mouthwash and interdental brushing if a client is due :)

Soreen is the dog's!

If the dog even looked at my Soreen, the dreaded rolled up newspaper would be putting in an appearance ;D.

It really ought to be spread with margarine for full nostalgic effect but I only buy Lurpak. I can't eat it much because it makes my blood sugar go mental, but it's definitely a worthy addition to the list.

I also find that eating hot food between bookings can make my stomach churn and makes me tired too, but I have no idea why. Porridge doesn't, but that's about it.

Ah, a lady of taste... My Soreen has a light spreading of Lurpak or President butter. This winter they did a limited edition one, which was lightly spiced.

Nuts are another great snack, likewise a slice of toast with peanut butter will fill you up for a lot longer than a plain slice. A small cup of soup is a good option, too.

Eating things high in protein will keep your blood sugar stable. One of those protein shakes you can buy at the grocery store, perhaps with a piece of fruit will give you a small sugar boost, with fibre and protein to keep it from crashing.

I would only eat something small like fruit or a piece of toast unless I had hours of free time as otherwise I just can't do sex. So definitely not dinner before any booking. Plus I get tons of issues with my tummy n I can't risk it. Food after sex though is preferable.

That's weird. Hot food makes me tired too. If I have a cooked breakfast even a small portion mainly grilled meat/ poached eggs I want to go back to bed.
For me slices of lean cooked meat rolled up with a small amount of coleslaw inside keeps me going without bagging me up and giving me that

I had a guy huffing & puffing at me last night on the phone when I said I was just going on my tea break, Impatient Available now type. I should have said even a machine needs refuelling.  ::)

The key is to set yourself time aside for eating & not even look at the phone. I've seen so many escorts jump as soon as the phone rings with a mouthful of food, trying to get more bookings in saying "yes I can see you in 10 minutes". Then they wonder why they get burnt out quickly & don't even realise they are working a 60 hour week & their adrenals are suffering.

You aren't the only person.  Nuts contain an amino acid called arginine which can cause outbreaks. Lysine is another amino acid that cancels the effects of arginine and you can buy supplements of it :)

This thread has really helped me to think about my eating habits more. Thanks! Im not a natural snacker to be fair. I either eat a full meal or not at all but in this industry its beneficial to snack. Ive been making myself bagels and thinking of other small things that I can snack on. Never heard of Soreel!

Graze boxes are an absolute God send for energy boosting snacks

Alternatively I get a 2 for 1 pizza special and have a slice of the leftovers between bookings lol

I started doing incalls only recently. I have some food allergies, so I cannot just go to shop and grab first thing that I would like to eat.

That's why I usually took some food with me, packed lunch. Recently I only take some snacks and then go to eat whenever I can (I google places nearby that would be good for me and then I go there, that's how I saw some time not to wandering around, looking where to eat)

So for packed lunch I usually make some kind of pancakes or waffles, they are easy for me to eat even cold. I also sometimes boil some eggs and take some cherry tomatoes, snpinach, etc.
If I do not have time to make something, I buy fallafels, homous, I buy cherry tomatoes and sometimes cut some carrot sticks to eat with it.

For snacks I always have some energy bars for a quick snack, I have some fruits, sometimes nuts or yoghurt, etc.

Recently I found out how to make wonderfull breakfast. I put oats in a plastic box, then put some add-ons: raisins, chia seeds, cinammon, goji berries, etc. and then I store it in that box. In the morning I only need to fill it with hot water, wait 5-10mins and then I can eat it! If I have berries or nuts, I put them in that oatmeal too
