Whatever you use, I've heard heavily coating them in it & sleeping in cotton gloves is also very effective, have you tried that?
Also there's a ....shoot, IDKW it may be over there. It's an off shoot of Clinique's Moisture Surge, which is a hydrator & would probably work wonders. CMS is a facial gel, I'm sure you're familiar with it & its shriekingly expensive price tag, but I've found a cheaper 1 at Walmart (Tesco?) that's just some hydrating facial gel. I'm touring so I don't have the jar with me. It's about $5 here.
If you can find it, do a test patch run & make sure all is well, then load your hands up with the gel. Your skin will absorb it, keep applying it until your skin can't hold anymore (trust me, you'll be able to tell).
You'll have to just sit & hold your hands still, you can't really do anything, then gently blot off the residue. (Former makeup 💄artist here)
