When I worked in parlours then tips were the norm but since I’ve been on AW then I have had only one tip in 4 years! Is it my Service or the amount that you charge on AW, as in it’s expensive as it is?
In a parlour you get the cash at the end of the booking but Indy then you get it straight away and so I dunno if this is anything to do with it.
I don’t expect tips of course but I just wonder why I don’t get them?

I do get them now and again, but not that often and rarely if ever from punters who use AW. It tends to be in London too - never in my home town.
I do think it's likely more of a parlour thing because they know you're handing over at least some of what they give you to the house and they maybe think it evens things up a bit, whereas being indie means you keep it (and if you're specifically.talking about AW, they'll.also know that advertising on there costs next to nothing unless you stick all the bells and whistles on so they probably think you'll come out with about the same).

I rarely, rarely get tipped, no clue why & it's not like you can exactly ask.
I do not expect it, ever. I think it's the tackiest thing on the planet when I see an ad & the girl says, "Tips are always appreciated!" Or, "Good service is not cheap & cheap service is not good!" That last 1 is particularly prevalent here stateside; it just grinds my gears😡.
You think I did a good job, toss me a $50, I'd love that. Unfortunately it's as rare as a hen's tooth, again, for me. I do get a lot of chocolates, sparkling apple 🍎cider (non drinker, migraine trigger), an occasional Starbucks GC etc, so it's not the Sahara but actual cash? *shakes head* very unusual.

I once had a client that gave me over £100 extra at the start of a 2 hour booking and I’m unsure whether this was to test me to see if I would declare it, which obviously I did and as I count the fee in front of them, then he saw that I saw it anyway and I said ‘what’s this, £100 extra by mistake’ and he was like ‘oops’, and I had a sneaky suspicion that he wanted bareback and rather than ask outright (not that I do this obviously) then he thought that I would just ‘know’ what he wanted. A woman I worked with in a parlour had also been with him for 2 hours before me and he had actual sex with her for 2 hours and yet with me he told me that condoms made him soft and so we just talked, dfk, oral both ways etc, etc, and there had been rumours about her doing bareback in the parlour and so I think she did it with him hence him having sex with her for 2 hours, when I mentioned to her that I felt he overpaid me at the start of the booking to get bareback then her face went red and she looked nervous so it’s safe to say this is why he tried to overpay me. >:(

Yes this makes sense about the clients being kind due to the fact we had to pay management a certain fee per client and giving us extra.
Do you think you got tipped in London due to the fact there’s more money there than in the rest of the UKs cities?

I would rather have a cash tip than a present, unless it’s Xmas when I often get nice perfume and choc’s, because it’s odd when you get pressies from clients, we’re not their girlfriends and they don’t know us enough to know what we like, well not all of them know us.
Talking of this reminds me of a time when a client I had met twice booked me and bought me a bottle of Moët champagne near Valentine’s Day and I didn’t open it for him in the booking, I put in it my fridge for myself and boyfriend to have later, (obviously I didn’t tell him this) and after he left he sent me a text to say that the champagne was meant to be for him and I and that he was disappointed that I didn’t open it! I told him that if he had said something then I would have opened it for him, I also mentioned that I didn’t drink at work and I never heard from him or saw him again!! Oops!!

Client shows for an hour, has an extra $100 in the envelope. Hmm, I think. Does he want A or B? C or D? All of these are an additional cost....guess I'll find out🤷🏼♀️.

Tantric, girls are flat out offering that over here (stateside) for a mere $20 more. I'm staggered, shocked, floored, disappointed....you get the idea. My personal opinion is it shouldn't be done. That being said, if you're going to do it, charge enough to pay for the GD hospital bills that will crop up. And they will....

Only occasionally have i received money and it would mainly be down to them not have the correct change so instead of messing around tell me to keep it. If anything its mainly the odd box of chocolates. I do find that indian men in particular like to bring a little present with them. I ask one about it once and he said its in their culture to bring a small gift when visiting someones home. However small its the fact they have taken the time to bring something, its a lovely gesture x

They do not like paying as it is try so tipping is like asking them to sell there soul.

I'm in London and rarely get tips or gifts it never crosses my mind. Nice when it happens though :) The odd American or mature gent are more likely to do that.
Like others say...I think parlours have a tipping culture as clients may be unsure of the split between you and da house.
As an Indy they know we keep 100% of the fee.

I did get tipped sometimes usually by around a tenner and twice by around £50. I also mentioned to a client that I was meeting a mate for a bottle of wine afterwards and he gave me all his loose change which came to about a fiver so I could have one on him! ;D

Tips are more London/south east based where the culture tends to enjoy flashing the cash.
I am lucky if I get a tip so much as once a year where I live these days. Just ain't gonna happen.

I won’t allow my fee paid by anything other than cash, I have one regular that transfers but I’m going to stop it because I don’t like it and it’s my choice and he knows I don’t like it yet he takes the limit out at the ATM during the day and sees me at night which is why he never has the cash, he has a heavy coke issue but I’ve known him for years and he is easy as so I don’t mind him taking coke.

Definitely fading in general . I work in a night club too ( been there years ) and our tips have just dwindled over the last 3 years or so ...

Interesting my mate used to do hostessing. I asked how she gets them to pay. Every 15 minutes she says, 'you must tip me £XXX now.' I thought wow she's got brass balls! They're dependent on tips and have to be totally upfront.

Oh I will have to remember to drop the ‘Aw I pay so much tax’ line and see what happens...I do miss getting the amount of tips I got in the parlour, it was a weekly thing and just put a huge smile on my face but parlours are much cheaper than us Indies and the management obviously take some cash so this is why...anyway I should be grateful that I get paid what I do without expecting tips!

I have one client who regularly tips. This week it was £30 and a case of champagne delivered but it's been as much as £160. He's obviously wealthy but no one else has ever tipped me. Its lovely to be appreciated though ;D

I made him very happy. He was new to the scene. He was one of those rich guys that didn't flaunt it.
Before that £50 a few times. Tens and twenties.
The ones that punt a lot do not tip.

A lot of clients I took from an agency I once worked at tip me very nicely, tipping at agencies was common, as they knew you weren’t getting all the money, they had big party clientele also, I think these clients can be a bit more generous with their cash as they’re under the influence.

Definitely, in brothels and agencies then you tip and this is also because in certain places clients can pay you after you’ve had the booking whereas on AW they pay you upfront and they may just find it odd to pull out cash afterwards, also if they gave me extra at the start of booking then I assume they are hinting for bareback without actually saying so.

Yea this, getting a £5-£20 tip in parlours for me was common but I almost never get tipped as an indie. Partly also I think because when you go to a parlour its not always easy to know what you migth be spending seeing as there are extras and a lot of women will charge extras differently, so sometimes that 10/20 was what they had in excess, the 'just in case its more' money. Whereas indie, they usually just know its XYZ per hour.
I get wine and chocolate a lot though, and occasionally books and a few favourite clients who buy clothes and perfume and lingerie.

I get tips quite often. Usually money, wine, chocs and flowers. One guy bought a cream tea with him lol. Recently I had a strange 'tip' ...6 bottles of antibacterial hand gel. He said hes a postman and gets loads of it and thought I might find it useful ;D

I've had the odd bunch of flowers, bottle of wine or lingerie when escorting but it's been very rare.
I do get fairly regular small tips on webcam though. Always so nice to receive and really makes my day!

Never in the form of cash as I’m an independent, so I keep all monies. But I do often get given flowers, champagne, chocolates, and on occasion, very generous Agent Provocateur gift cards. I have been sent a few of the latter during lockdown. It’s a bit churlish to admit some John Lewis/Waitrose vouchers would have been slightly more useful!

Couple months ago I had a client that came to see me for 30 minutes even though he wanted an hour but I couldn’t as I had another client booked so only could do 30 minutes. He ended up giving me my hourly rate instead instead of 30 minutes and left without spending the whole half hour which was sweet x

Regular enough fellow, mentions he’s deaf, NBD, I figure he’s hard of hearing 🧏♀️ & I’ll have to shout the entire time he’s there. Oh great, I’m thinking, but at least he told me.
He knocks, comes in & he’s DEAF-Deaf. Well, I’m ASL certified ~ rusty AF mind you, but certified ~ so I pull out my sign language skills & go to town. Would he be more comfortable signing, or does he lip read? He’s DELIGHTED I sign, but says lip reading is easier. (Great bc again, RUSTY.)
He lays some $100 bills on the dresser & goes to the bathroom, I go to count them. And count them....& count them...& count them....
I’m losing it, y’all. Is he a freak? Am I going to die? Does he want super weird stuff? ACK!!!!!
Nope. He was lovely. A hand job & he was out, didn’t even stay the hour.

Yes. But I've told him just to pay me my regular prices in future. He was lovely. Clean, polite and soo complementary. I might be odd but I don't like them to think they have to tip me because it's expensive enough as it is. But I LOVE one offs. 😀
